Luka groaned as his phone went off, waking him up. He rolled out of his bed and rubbed his eyes.

Luka checked his bag, making sure everything he needed was inside. He picked his favorite bandanna, pale blue with darker blue spots, and tied it around his throat. He combed his hair tuft before grabbing his things and walking to the kitchen.

Luka grabbed a bowl of cereal and ate it quickly. His mom smiled at him," Excited?" "Mhm," "Well good luck, I know a new school can be hard." Luka smiled,"Thanks mom." He put his bowl in the sink and stepped out the front door. He took and deep breath, swung his bag over his shoulder, and started to walk to his brand new school.

Luka saw the school, it was baby blue, and towered into the sky," Oh lord-" He took out his phone and popped in his earbuds. He strolled into the school, turning on his "too cool" demeanor.

Luka glanced around, wow, so many strange animals he's never seen before. One dog looking person looked like they were completely made of water. Luka fidgeted with his bandanna as he approached the office, where he would get his class list.

Luka opened the door to the office and slipped in. He paused his music as he approached the main lady's desk. Behind it was a plump, round brown dog. She looked up at him," What's ya need?" " Uh, i'm Luka Azule, i needed my class list?" She nodded and printed it out for him," Good luck hun." "T-thanks," He grabbed it and walked back out. He sat on the steps as he read his new schedule.

Luka looked down," Power finding?" He snorted," Yeah right-like I have any powers..." He walked down a few halls before arriving to a door. He opened it up and stepped inside to find a room that was way larger than a normal classroom. A few of his classmates were inside already.

Luka turned and saw a brown and white cat walk up to him," Oh yeah, Hi. I'm Luka." He flicked his ears, making his black earrings jingle.

Luka smiled back and followed him," Nice to meet you too, have you been in this class long? Because, is there like a way to explain that I don't have some sort of power?" He sat in a set right next to Pumpkin.

Luka laughed nervously," I'm not special at all-I mean my dad has powers but I never got them." Pumpkin was still staring," You good?"

Luka waved a paw," Aye that's alright I understand," He opened his bag and took out his phone," So what do you even do in this class?"

"But every species has such a huge range of powers-geez, I bet this is a boring class..." He scrolled through his social media," What's the teacher like? He good?"

Luka stared at Pumpkin," What the hell- beat you?? Can't he get in trouble for that??" His paw pads started to sweat,

"Oh-okay," He quickly took out his earbuds and put his phone away. "Uh, what are some things that annoy him? Just so I don't get beaten to a pulp?"

Luka blinked," o-okay," He took out his notebook and his textbook, setting them down on the desk. There was a bang as the door shot open. (can you describe the teacher?)

A large burly mountain lion strutted in. Luka right away dropped his eyes to his textbook. He heard him walk around until he was at his desk.

Luka raised an eyebrow at him but didn't say anything. *could you speak for the teacher, you know him way better than i do*

Luka gulped and walked up, just trying to put one foot in front of the other. He stood next to the desk, scanning all of his classmates.

Luka nodded," Yes sir." he said simply. He tried to act cool and collected but inside his heart was beating a hundred miles an hour.

Luka walked back, so glad he wasn't a pancake in the floor right now. He smiled at pumpkin when he sat down. But still looked at the napkin curiously. He mouthed," what's that?"

Luka nodded," That's awesome dude-" He looked up and saw the star being placed. 'I hope thats means something good.' he thought.

Luka was a bit taken aback, he didn't know what to say," Uh, um," he sputtered.

Luka copied down some of Pumpkin's notes and the work from the board,'I wonder how he make's us find our powers," He wondered as he finished one of the problems. Luckily his old school had studies what ability's come to each specie, so he was somewhat educated.

Luka looked at him curiously. He wrote on his paper,'what are you mumbling about?' and showed him.

'Dude!! That's great!' he wrote back. Luka looked down at his paper, with the genetic's worksheet it seemed he would either have a floating ability or a sonic scream. His dad and uncles all had a floating ability,and his moms sister and her kids had voice related powers. But he didn't feel very light,and his yell wasn't that loud...he was just happy for Pumpkin.

Luka finished his last worksheet with a sigh. He was usually quick with work but he had to keep double checking his textbook. He stacked all the papers into a neat pile and put his things away. When pumpkin got up he asked in a whisper," What are you doing? We still have 10 minutes,"

Luka quickly followed him,not wanting to be left behind. When they were out in the hall Luka asked," So you're gonna transfer? Oh geez i'm going to be all alone in that class, oh poor me~" He put his paw to his forehead and pretended to faint.

Luka looked down," Oh, just normal gym." He folded his paper and tossed it into his bag," Seems like they're trying to find my skills first before they put me in any special classes I guess."

Luka tilted his head," Why not?" He stretched each of his legs before sitting down.

Luka yawned," Everyone can be a ***** sometimes." At that moment Luka felt like his skin was frosting over. Invisible ice creeped over his body, it felt like it was sinking to his bones. He gasped in shock as he raised his paws and saw small crystal's forming on his nails. He shivered, unable to speak.

Luka tucked his paw's into his chest," N-nothing! A breeze hit me and I got cold, sorry." He couldn't stop shivering though.

Luka rubbed his arms with his paws. 'Well there goes my one friend.' he thought bitterly. All of the students came spilling out of their classrooms, and the quiet courtyard became extremely loud. Luka looked at his paws,the ice crystal's had melted. He sighed in relief and quickly headed over to the gym building.

Luka walked in, still shivering from that strange, icy attack. He looked around and saw everyone avoiding a certain student. " that must be Benjamin...' he guessed. He walked over," Hi, are you Benjamin? I met your friend Pumpkin not too long ago."

Luka tried to avoid staring at his paw," Luka, Luka Azule." He tried to smile to seem friendly.

Luka blinked,' what was that about..?' he thought. He watched Benjamin for a second until the door opened. A woman, whom Luka assumed was the teacher walked in. She was a tall thin cat with tall pointy ears, and round glasses. She looked nothing like a gym teacher. "Alright class, line up in a straight line, shoulders touching. You know the routine."

Luka cried out in alarm as a winged tiger near him now was suddenly as wingless as he was. " W-what? Wh-waaaaaaaaaaaa?" He backed up and bumped into Benjamin.

Luka slowly walked back into line," S-sorry miss.." God why does he have to act like such an idiot? His old school was never this strange. His ears drooped slightly, his earrings made small pings as they hit one another.

Luka yelled in alarm and right away tried to tug Benjamin off," Hey! Hey dude stop!! Don't hurt her!" He pulled with all his might and was able to pry him off.

Luka looked at the teacher," Miss, could I go with him?" And without waiting for an answer, he bolted after Benjamin.

Luka jogged up to Benjamin," Hey, you okay? You seemed a bit upset back there..." He stepped over one of the feathers, trying not to look a little grossed out.
