Her name is Michell, like her mother, but everyone calls her M.J. She comes from a small town. So small, it's only on a few maps. It's called Lifton. Everyone in her village, including her were different though... They weren't human, but not animal either... the founders of their village started out as cats in a science lab. The scientist wanted to try to give the cats intelligence. They wanted them to be as smart as humans. It went well. But as you know, cats are very curious. They found chemicals that, mixed together in a certain way would lead to terrible consequences. The scientists came in at the right time for them to be merged together. The cats took the scientists body, leaving their souls to be free. They got use to their new bodies, and started on their own. They created Lifton, and started their own home.
But People didn't like the idea of cat humans. They didn't kill them, but enslaved them. The cat humans were named clypses, and they were now under the control of tamak. He brought some of the clypses to a prison type field, and made them do hard labor. He was powerful, and scornful, but not a completely awful ruler. He only made clypses over the age of ten (18 in human years) work, and he paid them fairly. So none of them complained. When he passed away however, his son, Tannika, was not so nice. He didn't pay the clypses, he tortured some of them, in many different ways, and even killed some. They were powerless against him. So they just lived with it.
To the present day, he still ruled over them, but rarely waists his time with them anymore. He still tortures and kills some, but they don't really have to work any more. One day though, he decided to destroy homes, and tear apart families for no reason at all. The clypses finally had enough, and tried to revolt. Tannika now wanted to kill them all because of this. When they heard of this, M.J and the village hid, but because of what she thought was her fault, which really wasn't, Tannika's knights found most of the village. They fought back, but only M.J and a few others escaped. She now lives in a city, called Seyight. She is miles away from her home, and thinks her parents and brothers have been killed. When she first arrived there, she was depressed, cut herself, and had thoughts of killing herself. But she met someone who made her feel loved in a long time. Jade. He was so nice, and he always made M.J smile. She had yet to learn about what Jade was going through, and what was in store for her soon.
Bonus: She had a best friend who betrayed her. Also, tannika use to mess with her... in a... weird, and not for children way that i don't want to say.
