just saw that colour do and don't from, like, yesterday.
So, a message to people talking about using colour:
LEARN ABOUT COLOUR THEORY BEFORE YOU SPOUT SOME BS!
Like, it was "do" and "don't" drawings, but the "don't" looked normal-ish, but the "do" was all washed out. Like, the point was "don't just use oversaturated colours" but it had super undersaturated colours that looked all ugly and vomitrocious.

PEOPLE SAYING STUFF ABOUT ANY ART SUBJECT NEED TO ACTUALLY LEARN STUFF
you can't go teach on anatomy if your characters look like zika babies
you can't teach on color if you think washing everything out is the best idea
you can't dictate skin stuff if you think they need to look dead to be realistic
you can't talk about proper gore drawing if you don't even DRAW GORE
You can't talk about pastel aesthetic if you think it's okay to use not-pastel colours in the main part of the thing, because it's """creative"""
