Linkbeing a kid i didnt have a real name for him i just called him monkey and oh my god i didnt ever let go of him. like i would get so sad when my parenta had to rip him from my grasp to wash him when i got sick (thats the only time i would allow him to be washed bc he had a specifc smell i liked too and it upset me a lot when he didnt smell the same)

Linkthe way he smelled was a huge comfort for me i literally have no clue why its so weird. like i would just put my nose up to his arm and keep it there all the time every day i dont know. probably a sensory thing

this is kinda real but in the opposite way bec i didnt like washing her but when she got washed she smelled like thr washing machine and all my clothes so i like sacrificed her for it
a little lamb.. thats kinda like . a sheep head and body connected to a towel?????? idk it mightve been for washing your baby or something.... sheep r my favorite animal and i didnt really connect it to the fact i had a sheep plush before but it might mean something LOL

My childhood plushie wasn’t even a plushie but a mcdonalds toy of that one giant robot from monster vs aliens and I don’t remember a thing but my mom said I would even dress it thematically according to where we were going

I didnt either, apparently I would draw them in paper and then color and cut them, and paste them with tape on the robot
THATS SO SWEET!!! i would make clothes out of balloons for my calico critters i was so proud of them too
Omg actually using balloons sound so creative like they are easy to cut and paste everywhere, we certainly had other kind of creativity when little
Augh that's so wholesome, I don't remember my childhood plushie but I do remember when I had an old little knitted blanket that I had gotten as a baby and I used to carry the thing everywhere, it always smelled like fresh laundry and I remember sometimes I used to chew on it. I lost it after I went to a family members house though 😭
i love hearing these stories about childhood comfort items (minus losing it im sorry :(( ) its so cute and sweet knowing we all had a little thingy that we got so attached to as a kid
