LinkAt this point, they were almost at the finish line for the final lap - and Hazel was winning. She was excited, chanting 'C'mon, c'mon!' as her eyes lit up with excitement. Ben looked quite distressed, sweating slightly. Suddenly, for a split second, the screen went black as Ben started grinning. When it returned back to normal, Ben's character had jumped in front of Hazel's, crossing the finish line before hers did. She threw the controller, making it land next to Jeff, catching his attention.
"Huh- Oi, Ben! You bloody cheater!-"

LinkBen appeared pretty calm as he did the same thing, though on the inside he was panicking because Masky was indeed winning. At the same time, Hazel stood up, pretending to yawn. She walked away, but as she did, one of her eyes started to glow red - signalling the use of magic. A small, red flame formed in the air above Ben, crackling quietly. It was just the flame, no smoke or smell. She was smirking as Ben was oblivious.

Also, a detail I forgot to mention, Hazel's eyes aren't green, they're hazel. Sorry, I just realised the ref I gave was from one of her earlier designs)

LinkBen's mouth was open wide in shock, speechless. He had even glitched the game multiple times, sending multiple blue shells at Masky and even sending him back a few metres during the final lap.
"Did the poor midget have his ego torn down?" Jeff questioned in the kind of voice you'd use to talk to a toddler, making fun of Ben, then noticing the fireball above his head.
He turned around, looking over at Hazel who was standing in the doorway. Ben still didn't notice the fireball.

The fire suddenly went out and disappeared, Hazel's red iris slowly fading back to it's normal hazel. She had been pretending that she didn't have any sort of supernatural abilities when she was around Ben, so he wouldn't suspect it was her.
This had been going on for a few weeks now, ever since Hazel had arrived, incidents rather similar had been plaguing the poor elf. She started walking over to him, her expression that of concern and worry.
"Are you okay Ben?" she asked, though she was obviously mocking him.

Hazel sighed to herself, dusting off her shoulder and standing up. The pain in her torso didn't really bother her, this wasn't the first time this happened with Jeff lashing out at her because she doesn't fight back. She started to run after Masky, following him.
