LinkAs the illusion of similarity began to fade he came to terms with how dire the moment truly was. Fear cloaked him, but his veil covered it entirely, he wasn’t planning on directing them to the truth. He’d lie and he’d grow. He’d outlive all of them, he’d see the reality of it all even when they didn’t, he’d take the wheel and continue to avoid swerving with them in the backseat. They couldn’t know, he wouldn’t teach them. These people pulled him from his pit and placed him in a spotlight that he craved. Craving that spotlight made him feel even worse. There were no more pieces he could replace in the puzzle, at some point he’d have to put together the real picture. The grass would wither and the stars would rise, maybe one day hell would pull itself from it’s pit too. Maybe one day it’d swallow him whole along with the whole Earth.
So he deceived more, corrupting with each reassurance he gave.
His guitar played the set-list he chose, living in complete denial of how it would all end.
