Now, it will almost ALWAYS look better with lines. First just sketch, then create a new layer, then draw over the sketch will your size of lineart. I think the best sizes are the second smallest and the third smallest. Now, once your lineart is done delete the sketch layer. Remember, hair and fur should always face AWAY from the head. Copy the lineart layer, make a new layer and paste. Now color on the bottom layer. Once you're done, start shading. I do cel shading (shading that doesn't fade it) but you can do whatever. Once you're done, well... you're done! Ta-da!
