also i kept giyu and sanemi in bcs i felt like it'd alter the story too much, even if i just changed their designs, not their personalities if you dont get me basically i want to keep in the characters that impact or interact with(mostly)tanjiro so for example, with giyu, tanjiro was trained by urodaki bcs of him with sanemi, he's the brother of giyu, and giyu also interacts with tanjiro, and sets an impact on giyu that lets the story not be so different and complicated when i have to change it but for the rest of the hashiras, i basically did it so each of their roles and character with be off of the og hashiras, so for example if shinobu was fighting douma, it would be the love hashira up there bcs her character mostly like shinobu's this would obviously change the story, but not drastically, which is why i decided on the idea B) anyway here are the roles

Name - Shun Takada Age - 11 Breathing Style - Breath of Love * When Shun was 5, her father died by an incurable disease * When she was 7, however, her mother and 3 older brothers were hunted by a demon * She was somehow the only survivor just by holding down the demon until sunrise * Being incredibly lucky to be alive, she was sent to Ryu, the Flame Hashira, by her mother(being her last words before death), to be taken cared of by him, since her parents knew him well * After seeing his skills, Shun was inspired to become a strong demon slayer like him, so Ryu agreed to keep her as not just her guardian, but his Tsuguko * Ryu trained Shun for just one year before becoming an official demon slayer, however, he noticed that she had a lot of talent * Although Shun was told by Kagaya himself that she was a descendant of the original Sun Breathing user, she had still created her own breathing style because of her incapability of not mastering Breath of Flame * She became a pillar when she was just 10

Name - Ryu Shibata Age - 28 Breathing Style - Breath of Flame * Since he was little, he was good friends with Shun's father, but when becoming a demon slayer at age 15, he couldn't keep in touch as much * He became a pillar at 21 * His ancestors had dedicated themselves to become demon slayers, which passed down through his family, so he was trained his whole life * His family had a demon who was the reason why his family was so focused on becoming demon slayers, and his mother had defeated it when she was 19, but somehow still had the demon's horns, so she treasured it as a sign of victory to their family * He was an only child because his parents struggled to have kids in the first place, which caused his father to divorce when Ryu was 8 * His mother was attacked by a demon while Ryu was away from home, but before she passed away, Ryu's mother gave him the demon's horns to pass down through generations, hence why he wears them * Ryu gave Tanjiro one of his hilts(instead of Rengoku)before retiring

Name - Ne Kuwajima Age - 34 Breathing Style - Breath of Sound * The older sister of Tsunade, but they're only 1 year apart * Tsunade is Haruto's mom, making Ne an aunt * Ne was trained by her father while he was still the Thunder Pillar, making her his Tsuguko * Tsunade refused to train, and begged Ne not to be a part of the corps because she didn't want to let Ne put her life on the line * Ne and Tsunade's father is Jigoro, Zenitsu's trainer * While training, Ne realized she couldn't learn Breath of Thunder, so she created Breath of Sound, not being very happy about it * Growing older, Tsunade made a family, eventually having Haruto * Having the same determination, Haruto wanted to be a strong demon slayer as well *Ne trained Haruto eventually succeeding in mastering Breath of Thunder, which made Ne very self-conscious about her own skills * Ne dreads how she has yet to marry, and that she's getting old * She's envious of Ryu because he has a family, but still looks young * Think of her as Zeni

Name - Haruto Nakajima Age - 13 Breathing Style - Breath of Thunder * Grew up with his parents and younger sister, Tamiko * His sword skills are known to be stronger than Ne's, even if they're both pillars * He wanted to become a demon slayer to help fight demons after seeing what Ne could do * He became a pillar at 12 years old(Ne at 26) * He's a simp(especially for Shun cough) * After Ne's death, he became distant and unknown to his emotions, like how Muichiro was before he remembered his past * He became himself again at the Swordsmith Village with the help of Tanjiro, again, just like Muichiro * He didn't have many friends when he was young because of his pink hair and 'weird' eye color * He's a bean

Name - Shizuka Okamoto Age - 22 Breathing Style - Breath of Beast * She's very short for her age * Her sword is uniquely made because of the way she slashes, so that's her preference(like how Shun's sword is smaller to fit her size) * Her small village was ambushed by a demon when she was 14, running to the forest and coming back to see everyone dead, except for another girl her age named Rai * Together they made a living in their now deserted village(since other villages weren't for miles), and promised not to leave each other * Shizuka crafted bracelets for them to keep to remind each other of their friendship * When she was 17, the same demon came back, killing Rai while she was away from the village * Shizuka was so angry that she had strength she never knew before, eventually fighting the demon till it was almost sunrise * She was saved in the nick of time by a demon slayer, inspiring her to join * Shizuka wears Rai's bracelet to remind her that she is still with her * Shizuka doesn't talk mu

Name - Takumi Yoshida Age - 24 Breathing Style - Breath of Stone * He has the same weapons as Gyomei * Takumi's eyes are extremely sensitive to light, so he has to wear a cloth to help him(he can see through it, just think of it as shades) * He decided to adopt a 6 year old daughter named Aratani when he was 22, and still a demon slayer * They lived happily, despite the fact that she was ill since birth, making it hard for her to stand sometimes * Their home was invaded by a demon while he was away for a bit a little after dusk, but he quickly saved Aratani before death * Sadly, though, she didn't make it, causing Takumi to go into grief * Eventually right after that he defeated a Twelve Kizuki, making him a pillar * To this day Takumi still wonders how he could've saved Aratani from dying young
