Laws exist to protect life, not to enable killing. if you think underground abortions are safer, you’re living in a fantasy world. It’s like saying “let’s just legalize robbery so it can be done safely”. real talk: the focus should be on preventing unwanted pregnancies in the first place. how about we promote responsibility instead of acting like killing a baby is a solution? I know that legality does not equal morality, but I know what you stand on and I don't plan on arguing with a brick wall on whether or not a fetus that cannot preform any human function and is leeching off its carrier can be murdered or not. Chalking it up to potential is lazy. What about means of taking care of said child? You want to say "oh no wahh wahh save the children" but when the child is born you don't care anymore. Giving birth is expensive, healthcare is expensive, nobody wants to have kids because its expensive and a lifetime commitment to raise them properly. People can hardly survive on the scraps they have right now and you want them to give birth to a child they can't take care of?
