Name - Maiko Ostuka Age - 18 Breathing Style - Breath of Flower * She's the Flower Hashira in Eiko's Demon Slayer dimension * She made her own kimono from scratch while still being trained to become a demon slayer * She became a demon slayer at 12 y/o * Her older sister, Aneko taught her how to become a demon slayer * Aneko almost became a demon slayer after almost getting killed by the first demon she defeated after being self-taught * After coming back from Final Selection, Maiko couldn't save her sister from a demon, since it was already too late * She killed the demon afterwards, but felt so guilty that she couldn't save her only family left, since they were both orphans * Despite feeling guilty, she put her sorrow behind her, and promised herself she'd stay positive, even if there were demons in her world

* Maiko in Japanese means 'dance child', or 'dancing child' * Aneko in Japanese means 'older sister' * Maiko, according to her adopted parents, was named after her adopted father's sister, who was a dancer * Aneko and Maiko were sold to a man who had abused them since they were toddlers, but Aneko helped them both escape, ultimately leaving them homeless until they were found and adopted by a small, poor family * Once Aneko was 14, Maiko being 11, their only family was slaughtered by a demon who had attacked their village * Aneko was persistent on becoming a demon slayer afterwards, since she knew that her parents had books about them in their home because their relatives were once demon slayers themselves

* While Aneko was training, Maiko was secretly training herself as well for the safety of her sister * Aneko had self-taught herself to use Breath of Water, but Maiko couldn't teach herself all the techniques, so she learned Breath of Flower, deriving from Breath of Water, instead, without knowing it * Maiko lives in the Butterfly Mansion, along with Aoi, the triplets, Kanao, and Sayuri

* Maiko had originally trained both Kanao and Sayuri since childhood * Maiko found Sayuri when she was 3, abandoned in an alleyway in the middle of a city, eventually deciding to adopt her as her sister, just like she did with Kanao when buying her out of abuse * Maiko adopted Sayuri and Kanao because it reminded her of her early childhood * Maiko had given the name Kanao because it meant 'flower' in Japanese, while naming Sayuri off of a lily, Maiko's favorite flower * Sayuri had created and uses Breath of Insect to better fit her skill level when she was being taught Breath of Flower by Maiko * Kanao, obviously, was taught Breath of Flower by Maiko, since she had originally taught both Kanao and Sayuri her Breathing Style * Just like Kanao with Shinobu, Kanao was Maiko's former Tsuguko, along with Sayuri, who ended up not using Breath of Flower, anyway

*ALSO* I don't plan on making this an official character with Eiko's DS universe, since it would be hard to go through with it for several reasons :'D For now I'll just design the hashiras I'd think would be in her DS world because I was thinking that the only difference between her universe and the original DS universe was that they had different hashiras, so Tanjiro's story would be slightly different because different characters, and the fact that Eiko, Murasaki, and Shizue would exist But sadly for now I'll just keep it at my original plan, where the only difference in her universe is that Eiko and them exist, and they meet Tanjiro and them a bit at one point, too
