Trapped takes place in a world where everyone is miserable, everything is HOPELESS, and things constantly go wrong. Only a few people have SOME hope left, even if its not much. The bad guy in this is Vanta, he runs the world pretty much. Its a wasteland of coal, fire, lava, heat, a despair. In the sky, the orange moon, or, the Omen Moon, is constantly there, no sun. Its the biggest source if light. Fireball rain happens, causing a huge threat. Everyone has had to either live underground, or fireproof theur homes. You can guess which is the popular choice. Money was abandoned, and water is still great, but much less than what used to be.
