the word retard, is like in my perspective I dont see it as like a slur that much, and instead I see it as like a normal swear word.
I mean I understand how it can offend low iq incel twitter users, but at the same time it doesnt really seem to matter toward anyone besides someone who has a low brain IQ

I do understand most of them becoming racial and offensive slurs that can hurt someone thats part of a community, and I completely understand them, respect their boundaries and everything.

Yes, it was originally a medical term as far as my research goes, but i think it's important to notice that the term is outdated and has very much shriveled into a derogatory word directed towards disabled or autistic individuals.
I think the first thing that should be looked over is what a slur means

the r slur can very easily slip into this category, being that it's used as a derogatory term to call someone slow
Another thing to note is that since the r slur is an outdated medical term for disabled individuals, it's still offensive to call someone the r slur in an insulting manner because you are, technically, calling them disabled as an insult which can easily come off as ableism.
(As an autistic person whos been called the r slur their entire life i think im allowed to have an opinion on this)
