Varicose veins?

I'm thinking spider veins with anemia now. That would be such a creepy and tortured combo, bluegh! Excellent story building though. Maybe the Victorians would have admired it since pale skin was the height of beauty for them, lol

The idea is basically - "Omg, this chick is so beautiful with her pale skin because she's not all brown and ugly from working in the fields like stupid peasant women" lol. Women would even draw blue lines on their chest to make people think their skin was more translucent. I think it went for men too but not so much. Of course now its all about that tan skin. I think just because tan skin means you have more fun ? Idk. If you ever think you're ugly, you're just born in the wrong culture haha.
