Jasper's eyes fluttered open slowly, he had been unable to recall anything as he looked around, the blinding brightness and low hum-buzz of florescent tubed lights filled the room as he slowly regained his ability to see. The room he was in was a simple room made of what appeared to be concrete, albeit smoother than normal concrete, about 15 by 15 wide and long donning a 10 foot high ceiling. Jasper felt a slight soreness and, almost a kind of emptiness in patches across his body, upon looking to see what was wrong, Jasper's eyes had met with the terrifying sight of black patches, with a seemingly physics defying purplish outline and slight glow, fused to partially destroyed muscle tissue and bone, he was startled as he nearly had jumped out of his own skin, it looked like pieces had been ripped or torn from his body and whatever this black substance came to be was acting like artificial body mass, Jasper calmed his breaths, looking to see what was normal and what wasn't. Investigating, he found that-

- the most severe damage was to his left arm and left part of his face, now that he thought about it, most of these black patches were on the left side of his face Jasper looked around the room to see if he could find any thing of use, now that he could see better he saw that this room was alot like a prison cell, with an old metal toilet and sink, a mirror that had taken the toll of age and fogged up to the point of which a reflection was barely possible, and a metal bed frame with a mattress that looked like it had been through hell, with a matching wood nightstand that could have seen better days than the ones it was, as one of its legs were loose. Jasper got up with the little strength he had, walking over to the tattered night stand and opening the drawer, finding a hand written note by someone signing themselves off as "the Shadoukingu"

"If your reading this note, I apologize for two reasons. one, you were never meant to be attacked in the first place, even though you being attacked helped us capture the beast, it did something unexpected, something that is going to be a huge problem in the future... the second reason I want to apologize. By now you've probably noticed the black patches of the substance we've classed as 'tenebris esse' that have bonded to your body. when we found you you were in a total of 8 pieces. Your limbs were ripped from your body and several chunks of the flesh surrounding your ribs were gone as well. we were able to re-attach your legs and right arm, as well as most of the other chunks of flesh that were forcefully removed, but your left arm and left side of your face were to badly mauled and torn apart for us to repair, so we instead were forced to keep the substance binded to you, to our surprise, it formed artificial parts that your body lost to keep it's self stable. it's a miracle that your even alive,f

seeing as your now partially missing 3 of your 5 vital organs. You may be experiencing a major loss of memory and confusion, due to one of those organs being part of your brain. This is not a cause of worry though, as we are doing everything we can to get you back to a semi-normal condition" Jasper stared at what he had just read in disbelief, the fact that he didn't ever remember being attacked or remembering what attacked him was concerning as he sat down on the mattress, waiting for someone to come open the door, for someone to give him answers. As he sat he felt the weight of exhaustion on his shoulders. Falling asleep as he waited
