Use other artists for inspiration, but don't copy (unless you get their permission) For just practice, you could trace BUT DON'T PUBLISH IT because it's not your art. Tracing tells your body "hey look, I am able to go over someone else's lines and make it look good, so I am capable of making good art" so then you have more confidence. I would also recommend using how-to-draw books and then changing the steps so that it's more you drawing and not the author. of course, drawing every day helps too ^.^
