Actually he isn't really evil He only manipulated Gonta into killing Miu because Miu was gonna kill Kokichi and get away with it which would end up killing everybody else besides Miu He had developed a plan through out the killing game to end the game and stop the mastermind He lied to everybody that he was the mastermind and got Miu to make him fake exisals and stuff like that before she died Maki shot Kokichi and then brought an antidote for Kaito to drink because she also accidentally shot him when he was trying to save Kokichi Kokichi took the antidote and pretended to drink it but then gave it to Kaito and begged Kaito to kill him for his plan, since everybody believed he was the mastermind he just had to kill himself Then Kokichi took a video of him crushing Kaito in the hydraulic press, stopped the hydraulic press and then ended the video Then Kokichi got Kaito out of the press before it squished him, and then Kokichi himself went under the press and Kaito killed him

Then in trial 5 when Kaito reveals himself as the murderer everybody feels horrible for him having to be executed And how did they react when they realized Kokichi died? They didn't care at all They still called him a lying sack of sh*t even after Kaito told them Kokichi's dying words and how he had a mental breakdown before his death On top of that Kokichi is also claustrophobic (fear of being in small spaces i think-) and they still didn't give one sh*t about him Also in the last free time event with Kokichi (i think), Kokichi plays the knife game and cuts his finger Also Kiibo, the one who Kokichi despises the most was the only one who believed Kokichi's dying words Also Shuichi says, "Your alone Kokichi, and you always will be." And Shuichi is one of the only characters that Kokichi cares about, it's like the person you love the most saying "F*ck you" right in your face I feel like chapter 5 was unfair, Kokichi is probably one of the most misunderstood characters on Danganronpa

Kokichi is one of the most misunderstood characters of V3, he honestly deserved way better, but then again, if he hadn't of killed himself then they would of never figured out who the mastermind was, Kokichi should of survived instead of Himiko or Maki Sorry for ranting I got a little carried away- Also sorry for major spoilers
