LinkIts especially frustrating when i see it being done by people who have things i'll never have because of my autism. Such as having a large group of friends or being able to make conversation with about anyone (irl) with little to no issues. I literally get scared to talk to people because i dont understand them and I dont understand what they mean by certain things. I also cant ever get my work done because my mind is going 5 different places at once (thats probably the adhd) and people like to just make it into an aesthetic and its so annoying

Yeah things like that piss me off too. Its literally not a joke. This one person i was friends with (kyle) claims he has autism and stuff (not diagnosed at all and was told by a professional he didnt have it) and he would talk shit about me for my symptoms and traits caused by my autism
And this kyle guy had the audacity to post saying that me, a diagnosed autistic person, was faking it and that i "claim to have it but dont understand real people who have those symptoms" LIKE YOU CAN HAVE TRAITS WITHOUT BEING AUTISTIC HE DIDNT GET DIAGNOSED BECAUSE HE DIDNT MEET THE CRITERIA
as someone with audhd, this shit is literally the worst. I got called mentally challenged and autistic the other day for the way I act??? so that was nice.
The way my personality is is not at all a way for somebody to call me autistic or even have something close to an excuse for it
you're so real for this. it makes my blood boil when people see autism as some kind of cute quirk or silly personality trait. it makes life a lot more difficult for me and many others on the spectrum. i don't understand how people can portray it as something so adorable silly and different x3! and then go to pick on and bully actual autistic people
