Look, there’s a reason why America is doing poorly, and it’s because of our own egos. Aside from the people who don’t believe in the disease and people who think masks are infringing on their rights, there are some of us who are actually making it worse without realizing it

You might want to hang out with your friends or family members and think “oh well, they can’t have been infected! And there’s no way I got it!” It really there’s no way to know that without getting tested. Many people have no symptoms, and the disease stays in your body for two weeks. Even if it would only hurt you as much as the flu, there are many people who could actually die from this disease

That barbecue that your parent is going to invite their coworkers over for? Persuade them to cancel it or to enforce social distancing during the party, including masks and gloves. You want to hang out with your friend? Hop in a voice call on discord and screenshare a movie, or play a game together. The only way we can make this better is if we all make sure that we stay inside and don’t expose anyone new to whatever group we’re in. The vaccine won’t be here for a long time (keep in mind the fastest any vaccine has been made took four years) and in the meantime, we need to make it as safe as humanly possible
