basically, Moore wasn't always this "friendly" detective character. before his memory was wiped and he was recommissioned as a detective, he was a cold killer. He would be hired and programmed to kill anyone he was told to, including innocent people. These memories still flash in his mind time to time, and he was to deal with the idea of his past self, and he hated it. (Now him, as a "person", is not based around a dead detective or person. He was programmed to make a persona of his own, taking personality traits from different people and characters.) Moore doesn't have the best reputation. people seem to avoid him when he arrives on scenes, even giving him glares. Not because they know his past (some do and don't) but simply because he's a machine. People didn't like the idea of the main detective being a robot, they didn't trust him. They think he would snap at any moment, they thought he was unstable -

and that is partly true. Moore does have an assistant, her name is Millie Parks. They get along fine and Millie really doesn't understand why people are so mean and rude to Moore. She really thinks Moore is interesting, and he thinks he's suck a gentleman for a machine. So she doesn't ever call him a machine or robot, she calls him by his name, and Moore appreciates that.
