One seems sad and the other seems happy. This difference in facial expression shows a difference in perspective. One seems to be sad that death is seconds away while the other is at peace. Best case scenario the adaption presents a character who feel secure in death, possibly a religious individual. Worst case scenario this character hates existence and is relied that death is near her.

The dream is sometimes born. It is one that is lacking in life (gray). It becomes so that you fear that you wont be able to bring it to life (red). It becomes a nightmare in some ways. The dream starts to become variety due to many circumstances (the colors surrounding the red). (They slowly surround the nightmare and turn into yellow). The dream is mostly complete but the things that havent been filled in still arent that way. Things could be better and knowing that creates sadness despite how far the dream has gotten to being complete.
