But guys, I What is so weird about having a pet chicken?
When I was in kindergarten, in the fall we were taken to a fair. I went with my at the time best friend, and we walked around. There were pumpkins, hay rides, random apples. Their was even a petting zoo. When I went there I noticed a cage with a chicken in it. One chicken was close to the gate, staring out. I though the Chicken was friendly and wanted to say hi, so I approached the gate, and stuck my hand through one of the squares in it, thinking i could pet it. It bit me. Pecked me? It bit me and I immediately jerked my hand out of the gate, and looked at the cut. on my left index finger their was a deep bleeding gash in the flesh. I started to cry. And that's why i'm kinda scared of chickens.
Oh you poor bean! Yeah, I was always told when I was young DON'T EVER STICK YOUR HAND THROUG THE CAGE BARS!!! That's why. They could peck you. Chicken's can be vicious.
You don't need to be scared of Frances tho, he likes people. (tip, give him a treat and he'll love you forever)
My brother kept saying “Chiken can’t bite! They don’t have teeth!” And I was like “She did bite me! You don’t need teeth to bite!”
awe, if he's nice, i won't be scared of him. It was kinda stupid of 5 year old me to do that.

Oh no! Not your face! Roosters can be really mean and territorial. Frances is different because I handled him and talked to him almost right after he hatched.
