ok so yea his parents died in like a fire or smth so when he was very small his uncle took care of him and raised him his uncle was a thief btw and helped grim about different weapons and they owned a shop together but idk one day some dudes beat his uncle up because he was in debt and hadn't payed it off so grim saw it and started to cry because ye he ded and then they forced him to watch while they threw his uncle in the river and years later he met bone while fighting some crap and they be friends
