Cousin, having bad dreams? I get those too where I wake up punching the air, haha. Sometimes scary dreams can be exciting though.
Hey I shaved my head into a mullet. Do you like it? (I'll cry if you say no) I was trying to keep it subtle because I'm tired of masculine haircuts on me, haha. Last year I shaved it down to 1 inch all the way around to get rid of all the yucky black dyed hair.

I was talking about bad dreams with our cousin Ryan's wife (Devin) and she's like "I had a dream a scary guy with a hockey mask on was behind me!! D,,:" I'm like... bro I have dreams where I'm a skeleton trapped inside of giant rotting corpse and I have to claw my way out before I suffocate. My dreams are so vivid I can smell and taste and feel pain. Of course I don't want to tell her all that because some people think there's something wrong with you if you get a little too honest. I've had this level of internal horror since forever!
I don't think its caused by trauma, but it can be. I really do believe there's some genetic or spiritual aspect in us. My dad and my sister were talking about how they sometimes wake up in the middle of the night unable to breath. I might have done that a few times as a kid but not any time recent that I can remember.

Honestly, the only thing that helps is training yourself to recognize when you are dreaming, having a decent daytime lifestyle with no clinging guilt or shame, being confident in daily life, not doing drugs/drinking before bed (lol), learning to analyze what dreams mean.
NGL, you live in a very haunted town. There's bad spiritual energy there! If you feel that you have a demon near you or you have a sleep paralysis demon you can try saying "I see you." It shows them that you will not fall for any trickery. I'm not a wacko that talks to dead people or does witchcraft but there's a spiritual force on Earth we can't define.
