LinkAbout: Sarah is our main character, she doesnât expect a apocalypse. She is good in bad situations, without her, everyone would be dead. Sarahâs best friend is Jack, both are unpopular teenagers.
Jack is Sarahâs best friend. Jack tries his best to not be serious, ever, heâs good for keeping the conversation alive and keeping everyone together.
Alex is a shy girl who no one really knows. She is good with weapons but not good with teamwork.
Scotty is Sarahâs other friend, the three joked around before the plague spread. Scotty is a good mechanic and just might be able to build their escape.
John is the best teenager in the 10th grade, all As, he is very popular and has a bunch of knowledge on a zombie apocalypse, but a plague?
Harry doesnât really like anyone, he keeps to himself, but if he really had to, he would help his classmates.
Infected/Plague People are all black skinny tall people with branch-like things poking out in some spots on their infected skin, they have all white glowing eyes

Chapter 1: Sarah twirled a curl in her hair with her finger, bored out of her mind. Mr. Krotes was giving a lecture about what they have been learning about for a month, no one was paying attention, but John. âAnd, Thatâs a wrap, you kids can do what you want now,â said Mr. Krotes. Mr. Krotes turned the radio on, âAttention all of Florida, a very deadly plague has just spread, no one is safe, stay indoors at all costs, itâll be safer. Good luck,â said the man on the radio. The teenagers began to scream and run out of the class, Mr. Krotes was shocked into place. The smart ones stayed in their seats, Sarah, Jack, Scotty, Alex, Harry and John. Everyone else in the school got outside, just after the power went out, and the doors could only be open with the power on. âGuys?â Sarah questioned, not sure if they were even alive. âThis isnât good,â Scotty said. Alex and Harry stayed quiet. âWe need to remain calm, Iâll go look for help,â Mr. Krotes said as he left the class. âDonât wor
ry, guys, we can survive this.â said Sarah, with confidence. Hours passed and Mr. Krotes didnât return. âItâs getting dark outside, we canât wait for Mr. Krotes any longer,â said Scotty, motioning to the door. âMaybe we can find the cure in our lockers,â joked Jack. No one laughed. âI meant, we should go to our lockers for supplies,â Jack explained. âYeah, smartest thing Iâve ever heard you say,â said John, with a smirk. âIâll punch that smile into the back of your mouth,â Jack threatened. âHey, this isnât the time for fighting,â Sarah said. Everyone agreed and walked out in the hallway to their lockers. âThis may come in handy,â said Jack, pulling a baseball bat from his locker. âWhen did you get that?â asked Harry, first thing heâd said since class started. âYou never know when you need to bash someoneâs head in,â chuckled Jack. âIt works, I guess,â said Sarah, grabbing her phone. â10 percent,â said Sarah.
âI charge my phone,â said Scotty ch
ecking his phone. â73 percent,â said Scotty. He tried to text his mom, but there wasnât any wifi since the power was off. Everyone grabbed snacks from their lockers, hiding them from everyone else incase they asked for any.
âSweet, oreos,â exclaimed Jack. Sarah couldnât help but giggle. Scotty punched Jack in the arm, a friendly punch.
âWhat do you think happened to Mr. Krotes?â asked Alex. âWho knows? We should look for him,â said Sarah, calmly. And they split up into groups, Sarah, Jack, and Harry went to the lunch room for more food and maybe, just maybe, they would find Mr. Krotes, curled up into a ball, scared for his own life. John, Harry, and Alex went to the Principalâs Office.
Alex had gotten a long crafted stick as a weapon her father had made for her when she was ten.
âMaybe I can finish the flamethrower,â said Scotty, smiling. âThe arts and crafts teacher let you build that?â questioned Sarah. âWell, he said if I made it work, he would ban me from his classroom, I just need fuel to make it work,â explained Scotty. âWhere would we get fuel, the store?â Jack asked, sarcastically. âWe donât have the money, genius,â joked Scotty, playing along. âWeirdos,â said Sarah and she rolled her eyes, but it wasnât visible since it was really dark, the only lights were from their phones. Harry kicked the principalâs office door open, they heard screaming. John led the way, looking under the desk.
It was Mr. Krotes, he had purple splotches all over him and he was holding his head in pain. The purple was turning black, and then Mr. Krotes was black. Black branches shot from his arm, legs, and his head. Mr. Krotes opened his eyes and they were all white, and glowing. He got out from under the desk and lunged at Harry. Alex quickly stabbed him through the stomach and his eyes went black, the monster who used to be the math teacher went limp, and dissolved. âWe have to find the others," said John.
