Oji shuffles past, keeping his head down as he sits at the lunch table, not sitting near anybody. Enter Taru, holding his head high when he spots Oji sitting alone. Taru sits in front of Oji but does his best not to startle him. Taru- “Hey there. What’s up?” Oji picks his head up to look at Taru. He moves his arms back, but his shoulders are still hunched. He doesn’t respond, but Taru has his attention. Taru- “I’m Taru.” Oji- “Hi. I’m Oji.” Oji shuffles uncomfortably “Do you know me?” Noting his movement, Taru leans back, trying to give him space. Taru- “I hope I know you soon! So, what do you like to do?” Oji- “Oh. I like to play soccer and sometimes I cook.” Oji starts to relax his position and makes a faint smile. Taru- “Oh cool! Maybe we should share some recipes sometime! I know a great potato casserole that’s pretty simple.” Oji- “Yeah.
