He bristles a little. “What was that for?” He stares at the spot he was poked.
He barks a loud, booming bark that doesn’t seem possible for his small size.

“I was just born like this. Wish that I could change it.” He grumbles.
His face was warm and his tail flicked anxiously. “I... I can’t see you right now...”
? - The person smiled. “Don’t be scared, buddy!” The smile was sort of calming.
His fur relaxed the slightest bit. “Who are you? What do you want?” Over his bitter tone, there was fear.
? - They avoided the first question. “Well, I just want a friend, and you seemed pretty lonely. So I came over here!”
? - They crouched down next to Toxics’ side. “I know you don’t necessarily like me, but I can tell when something is wrong. Even for an almost stranger.”
? - “I’m gonna sit here until you tell me what’s wrong...” They looked genuinely worried.
His eyes darken, no longer glowing. The rest of his body begins not to glow as well and he sniffles.
? - “Calm down there, darling.” They gave Toxic a hug. “Everything’s alright.”
Black tears began to run from his eyes. “T-they’re gone... all of them...”
? - “Well, If they’re ‘gone’, that just means they’re probably in a nice place waiting for you. One day you’ll see them again and spend the rest of your days with them.”
? - “But still, one day, you will see them again. Where are they, though?”
? - “Well, let’s go there and get them back!” They stood up and held out their hand to Toxic. “It can’t be that far, right?”
“Are you crazy? Ekotera is right next to death! It’s practically the underworld.”
? - “I mean, I don’t think I’m crazy... But I have some friends who lived in the underworld and they say it’s good once you get used to it. So it can’t be that bad!”
He shakes his head. “You can’t get into Ekotera. It’s impossible. They might as well be dead.” He spat the word.
“You don’t know Eko. It’s pretty much the underworld but no way of escape. It’s where the worst of the worst go as punishment.”
? - “Then why are your friends/fam there?” (Sorry was doin’ laundry.)
? - “If you don’t wanna talk bout’ it, it’s fine.. But we can still go get them!” They had determination in their eyes.
? - “..Fine then. If you won’t, I will. I’ll prove to you it’s possible.” And on that note, the person ran off, hopping over a fence and out of sight.
“No!” He ran after them. “It’s a death trap!” He cleared the fence, but when he landed he blacked out.
? - They pulled their hood back up, which had fallen from the fence jump. Turning to Toxic again, they picked him up. “I’ll find somewhere to drop you off later, probably a village..” They started to walk again.
? - They’d see a small dirt pathway and assumed the best. As it was getting dark, ? followed it until it lead to a small hut. It was abandoned, seemed that way for many years. “Better than nothing.”
? - They’d set Toxic on a wooden chair in a corner and then started a fire. Luckily, there was a stream nearby that could be used to fish. ? grabbed a beam of wood and sharpened the edge before going out to find some food.
Toxic moaned as he woke up. He looked around, his vision hazy. “Where... am I?”
? - Shortly after leaving, the being came back with a few fish. “Oh you’re up!” She (YES, SHE.) pulled off the hood, revealing shoulder-length brown hair. “I’m taking you on my adventure to save your buddies! Sound good?”
? - “We’re going to Ekotera, where everyone is! You blacked out so I took you here.” She’d resume de-boning and then cooking the fish.
? - “We can, and we will.” She’d hand him a fish on a stick. “It’s not much but at least we got lucky.”
? - “Get some rest, we have a long day ahead of us tomorrow.” It’d be black outside, setting a spooky mood down upon the hut.
? - “We’re going to get people you care about, it’ll be worth it.” She put out the fire, darkness swallowing the hut.
He teared up. “I-I don’t wanna go.... I don’t wanna go...” his voice began to break and he spoke in a different language. “ Vocadoro setera nakoto...”
? - “Again, get some rest. You chased after me and now you don’t have a choice in the matter.” She glared at him, her glance cutting through him.
He winced as if it actually hurt him, and submissively backed down.
? - She’d sit on the ground and yawned. “Well, night bud..” She’d fall asleep rather quickly.
Toxic sighed. *I’m going with her and don’t even know her name...* he thought. His tail flicked anxiously as his body lit up.
Besides the occasional stir of a squirrel or the wind, the night was silent. Outside the stars painted a bright, glossy picture with the moon being the main focus.
He sighed, looking over to make sure she was asleep. When he was sure she was out, he closed his eyes and began to sing ever so softly. It wasn’t in English, but rather the language he was speaking in earlier. His fur seemed to pulse to the beat, and his tail made a soft swishing sound, as if trying to add in a musical style.
She woke up quietly, glancing over at Toxic. She smiled lightly while listening.
His ears were back and his body tucked into itself. He continued to sing softly, his glow becoming soft as he calmed himself.
She’d act asleep, trying not to disturb him.

He smiled ever so slightly, his large fangs showing. His tongue - which flickered as he sang - was the same color as his glowing body, and forked at the end.
? - She’d barely look out the window to see the sunrise gleaming. She acted as if she just woke up and stretched. “Morning, buddy!” She smiled.
Alsike: *she examines Toxc, 'what is this strange creature?' she thought*
Toxic feels something move but brushed it off, although his fur stood on end and his light began to darken.
Toxic reacts to his instincts this time, jumping up and turning to face her. His teeth were bared and his fur stood on end.
Alsike: *she leaps back and bares her small, razor-like teeth and she growls*
He sighs, his fur lying flat again. He lays down with his back to her. “I’m such a freak...” he mutters.
Alsike: *she notices he is sad, but can't quite understand his language. she walk up to him and sits next to him*
Alsike: *she wished she could understand this strange creature's language, so she could ask him what was wrong, she stared at the setting sun*
“Vocadoro setera nakoto...” (why am I such a monster?) he growls.
Alsike: *she stares at Toxic, she's heard that language before, somewhere... she just didn't know where*

Toxic looks at you, confused. “W-what?”

He shrinks at your touch but doesn’t complain, minus a small whimper of fear.
He just kinda sits there for a second before licking your cheek with his forked tongue.

Toxic growls, although it sounds like a gurgle. His hackles rise and he stares.
He sits, lifting a paw and leaning away. “I-I don’t play.” He whimpers anxiously.
“Hide and don’t interact or get attached to anyone or anything.” He yips.
Toxic’s body begins to glow, but the color darkens, and he starts to gurgle. A strange liquid drips from his mouth, singeing the ground as it drips.
“Call them off.” He rasped, although his mouth didn’t move as he spoke.
