Linklmt, and I did say his design might change
When Jake was a kid, he lived in South Island. He was very reliant of himself, and rarely excepted help from his parents. Because of this, he often wandered off. One day, during a thunderstorm, he found something that made his mouth drop. It was a chaos emerald... and he was in awe. Just as he reached for it lightning struck him. He had got the emerald just in sync of the time when he got the struck. A crazy source of energy flowed through his body. He screamed, and his burn were severe, but the outcome has proven to be worth it. He gained lightning powers, that like of Blaze. When he acquires all seven, his lightning powers are increased. At 10 he started to learn martial arts, and soon got a sword. I'm sure you can notice his love for teal by my art. But, set fact aside,...
From a very young age, he fought alongside Sonic. His speed closely matches Sonic, at around an average of 600 miles mph,while Sonic runs at around 700 miles per hour. Now, the same age of Sonic, he fights evil with him and his friend
So, back when Sonic and Tails discovered wisps, there was an ivory lightning that hitched a ride on tails' coaster back to earth. One day, Jake discovered it. The wisp was feeling uncomfortable with him, and got ready to try to use his lightning powers against him. When Jake touched it, it used all that i had against him. Though, with Jake's lightning abilities, it only tickled. After using all of that energy, the wisp was severely damaged. Jake, a very kind soul, helped care for it until it was better. When it had regained it's energy
.it popped right inside of him, similar to the laser wisp and Sonic. This enhanced his electrical powers, and made him forever have a love for the aliens. When he met back with Sonic and Tails, he got examined by Tails. He found that the wisp also increased his speed. Again, Sonic and Jake work together to defeat evil.

Oh, umm thanks for pointing that out. His name is Jake. Its Not jack, and I really need to pay more attention XD
