You probably guessed it- but Basil is the biological father of Scratch (Gillians oc) He can walk, but not very well. He is also the creator of both Sol and Stix.

He is a genius engineer and chemist, but retired and now lives in an assisted living facility, he moved to this town in search of his young love (Scratches mother) only to find she is dead. He assumed his son is also dead and went on with life. He believes Scratches mother ran off with Scratch and is unaware she was actually married. He is antisocial and a bit of a grump, but he does love children and they will always make him chuckle.
