One dark and stormy night you are in bed on your phone you have a lamp on and suddenly your phone turns off and your lamp turns off, you check your phone and turn it on again you checked the wifi it said no signal. You hug the wall behind your bed frame and find your drawers. You remember you had a flashlight laying around somewhere in the drawer. You check the drawers and find a cold metal rectangle. You feel around it to see if you can find buttons and- Light! After a while of thinking you remember when you bought the house there was a generator in the basement but- the basement was locked you needed a key somewhere but there was a storage room and it could have it in one of the boxes.
