"Hey, it's okay, Tom. Shh..." He soothed, stroking his head gently. The tears dripped down Tom's face, leaving little red dapples on Tord's hoodie. "I-I'm trying... I really am, Tord..." Tom whispered. "What do you mean, love?" Tord whispered back, using his other hand to rub circles on Tom's back. "I-I try so hard... I try to get r-rid of these voices that-that say y-you're trying to hurt me... I tell them that t-they're wrong and that y-you love me... But they're still there a-and I can't fight them off..." He choked out. Tord felt his heart plummet.

"A-and I'm not really sure if it m-makes sense to you... that I'm hearing voices... B-but I really am trying best I c-can to explain it. A-and I don't think I would still be here if it wasn't for y-you. I would have already..." He broke down, not able to continue. Tears choked him, and his legs became weak. He and Tord fell to the floor, Tord holding him close. "Tom... listen to me. You are an amazing person. You are so much stronger than these voices, okay? It's amazing that you've fought them by yourself; incredible that your trying. And I know this might make things change a little, and we might not see each other the same way as we did before, but this just a little bump in the road. We can get through this. Together." Tord pulled away, looking into Tom's eyes. He held up his hand, extending his pinkie.

"Pinkie promises?" Tom gave a little laugh, wiping his face with his sleeves. "Pinkie promise." Tord said. Tom giggled, linking fingers with Tord with a smile. "I'll always be here for you, Tom. I promise." Tord said softly. "And I promise to always wait for you." Tom said back. They smiled, breaking apart and standing up. Tom walked over and sat on the bed, Tord following him. "Hey, you want to hear something funny?" Tord said, laying back. "Why not?" Tom chuckled, laying beside him. "Well, on my way back, I had to buy gas-" "That's what took you so long?" Tom said.

"Shh, no interrupting." Tord said. "Sorry." "So, I had to get gas. When I went inside to pay..." ~Flaaaaaaassssshbaaaaack~ "Pump three, please." Tord said to the dude working at the front. "Oh my gosh, is that-? Tord! Tord Larsson!" Tord turned around to see a little boy, probably around twelve, running towards him. "Um, yes, hello... Who are you?" Tord asked. The boy's shaggy brown hair was pulled back in a ponytail. "I'm Pat's nephew. You know Pat, right?" The boy said. Tord's eyes widened as he nodded. "Where is Pat and Paul?" Tord asked. "I think they're trying to get the slushie machine working." Tord looked over to the 'Slushie Maniac' machine, where two dudes were standing. One had slightly lighter hair than the other and large eyebrows. Tord chuckled, watching the two of them. "Pat, grab that side, I'll grab this one." Paul, the one with the large brows, said. The two of them grabbed opposite sides of the machine and began to tug.

"Sirs, please don't do that!" The cashier called. Huffing, Paul and Pat put the 'Slushie Maniac' back down, as they had lifted it a few inches. "Fine, I have an idea!" Pat said, pulling out a handgun much like Tord's and aiming it at the slushie machine. "Give us all your, uh, slushie! This is a stick up!" When nothing happened, Tord walked over. "Psst, hey." He whispered. Paul and Pat looked at him. "Tord?!" They exclaimed together. Tord smiled. "If you shoot it right there," Tord pointed to a spot in the glass. "It'll give you all of the slushies." Pat smiled, turning back to the machine. "Pat, no-!" Paul exclaimed, but it was too late. "Slushie massacre!" Pat screamed, firing at the glass. They all shattered, and the slushies poured out of the holes. Pat stared at the mess he made with his mouth agape. "That didn't end like I wanted it to..."

"God damn it - YOU TWO!" The cashier, now beyond angry, was walking towards them. "Time for us to leave!" Paul grabbed the boy and Pat and ran to the door. "But my slushie!" Pat whined. Running out the door, the cashier followed them. Laughing to himself, Tord grabbed a cup and let the flowing slushie pour into it, then grabbed a lid and a straw and left.

Tom laid on the bed laughing. "T-T-They shot the machine?!" He said, tears in his eyes. Tord was trying not to laugh. "Yes, Pat isn't the brightest one." He chuckled. "Did you ever find out that boy's name?" Tom asked, sitting up and wiping his eyes. "Nah, but I feel like I will at some point." Tord said, sighing. "What do you mean?" Tom asked. "Ah, nothing." Tord stood up. "I'm going to go get a shower." Tord said. Tom nodded, laying back down as Tord grabbed a white t-shirt with a grey rectangle and three black X's in it and a pair of blue jeans. He headed to the shower, sighing. Tom closed his eyes, letting visions run through his mind.
