Duata was once an advisor to the Pale King, and was assumed to be even his most trusted Royal Retainer. But after the Pale King sealed himself away in the White Palace, Duata Found himself without a real purpose, and began to search for a new one. Eventually, he found himself stuck in the Lifeblood Pools, and began trying to use it. He went mad, and began to worship the Lifeblood, deeming himself the Sanctum-Master of the Lifeblood Chldren. Now he scours Hallownest, trying to sway other bugs into his sphere of influence.
