Emma was a normal girl, albeit a bit tall for her age. She went to an average elementary school in a normal town. She was in fifth grade. One day her school went into lockdown. Nobody knew why, but some boys in her class said it was a drill. Then, suddenly, somebody's phone rang and an axe crashed through their classroom door. Nobody moved for fear; the door was kicked down and a man with an axe ran in. Crazed, he began swinging his axe wildly at the students. He got a little too close to Emma's best friend... His axe cut her face and, in a rush of adrenaline, Emma picked up the only 'weapon' available to her - a pencil. She lunged at the man, screaming, at plunged the sharp writing utensil into his thigh...

He yelled in pain, becoming more disoriented, a whirled towards Emma. He slashed half her face with his axe and she dropped her pencil. Fallen to the ground, clutching her right eye, she quivered. The man rounded on her but Emma's best friend kicked him in the shin. He dropped the axe in surprise, and Emma picked it up. Now blinded with pain, Emma got up and began swinging the weapon where she thought the attacker was. She chopped off his head on the first try. The class cheered, but they quickly stopped when they realized Emma hadn't stopped swinging the axe. She didn't know she had killed the man, and was still trying to attack him. She wouldn't stop ; one of her classmates, scared, threw a pencil at her to get her attention but it lodged itself in her other eye. Now completely blind, and completely afraid for her and her classmates' lives, she continues to run, blindly attacking the dead attacker. The end
