He lost a lot of people that he cared about in the Aftermath. His family, his friends- even a part of himself. He walked alone through the wastelands, desperate and hungry- there was nothing to eat now that his city didn't exist- and the next town wasn't for miles. As he stumbled, he tripped over a skull on the ground. He picked it up, examining it. It wasn't like any skull he'd seen before. There was an imprinted eye on its forehead, and feather tassels hung from it's horns... it looked like some strange animal. It also looked as if it had been there for a while- but maybe was exposed after the explosion. As he held it, he realised it was as cold as ice compared to the baring heat of the desert surrounding him. Making a decision, he put it on his face to escape the sun. It practically fit to his face like it was tailored. "That's odd," He thought. When he tried taking it off though, it wouldn't budge. No matter how hard he tugged and pulled, it stayed on. As he peered through the eye sockets of the mask, he

noticed a large, dark figure blocking out the sun. "Hello, little human~" A dark voice growled. It moved towards Bram, leaning down to his level. Bram backed away. "W-what the heck are you?!" The figure that he saw now had more figure to it- It was a demon-like creature with a face semi-like the one of his mask- only it was a different type of skull. It's body was tall and skinny- you could see his ribs through his skin, and it was a black-grey color. Spikes lined his back, shoulders and part of his face. The scariest part about him was his barbed tail, long yellow tongue, and all of the chains that were racked on his body. "My name is Astarioth... I am the demon lord of this sector." Bram was terrified and puzzled at the same time. "Demon...Lord? Sector??" Astarioth simply chuckled. "Yes, and you are now my host." He pointed at the mask on Bram's face. "When you put that on, I became apart of you. Us demons left apart of our souls in objects years ago in hopes that someone like you would find th

em and put them on, and would continue our journey to bring back the demon race." His chains clinked back and forth as he sat down to speak. "There were different demons in different timezones, which we call sectors. And I ruled this one." "But what does that have to do with me being your... host?" Astarioth grumbled. "Impatient one, aren't you? When you put on that mask, you absorbed apart of my soul that i'd left. As for the other part, it allows you to see this form of me as I am now. No one else can see me at the moment, except for you." Bram tried pulling off the mask again. "I don't want to be a part of this! Demons- souls- sectors- I dont want any of that! I want things to go back to the way they were!" It started to hurt the more he struggled. "Look, kid. You found my artifact and put it on, so now your stuck with me whether you like it or not. That mask is now apart of your body, linked with magic. You can't pull it off." Bram started to regret ever putting it on, and was getting more and

irritated by the second. The tall demon sighed. "I can make it easier for you to bear me being around, though. I can give you a power of your choice... After all, I do have to repay you for finding me." Bram paused. It was a very tempting offer. And it wasn't like he had any reason to not to accept. "Fine." He thought about what happened to the city- and to everyone that was in it. He never wanted that to happen again. "I want magic that will allow me to protect the people and things I care about." Astarioth frowned. "Seriously? I can give you any power you like, and you choose something like that? How boring." The demon saw he was completely serious, and lowered his head. "Alright then..." He held out his hands and a large sword and an amulet appeared. "Take them. The amulet stores the magic you desire. As for the sword, it once was mine. Use it well." Bram grasped them, immediately feeling the pulsating power coming from both of them.

The amulet had a soft electric feeling to it, while the sword had a powerful rumbling feeling, not much different than lightning and thunder. As he equipped them, he glanced at Astarioth. "So what do you need me to do?" Astarioth's eyes glimmered. "I need you to find the other hosts."
