there's a tool that lets you color only on pre existing lines. I do the coloring on another layer so it doesn't touch the coloring.

I found out how to do this only a few months ago lmao! You use the tool that kinda looks like a pencil but the tip is a rectangle, it's next to the highlighter.

I know the tool, but whenever I try to color the lines I color the lines with that tool on the top layer, but the bottom layer that has coloring also has lines so I always recolor the coloring too.
