LinkMe when john doe my beloved
You were walking down the street when you hear a sharp scream. You quickly turn and see a figure in the dark. "Hello?" The figure seems to wave and then you look for your phone to get your flash but when you look back up,the person is gone. You get slightly spooked and decide to rush back home. The next morning you wake up to a knock on your door. "Miss L/N? This is the PD, We need to talk to you." After just waking up, you groggily put on a robe and open the door to see at least 6 officers. "Yes?" The cops walk in without invitation. "It's about your friend... She/He was found dead this morning." Your chest gets tight as you think to last night. "She/He was supposed to come over last night but..." The main officer puts a folder on the table and motions for you to open it. You do so and almost retch at the photos. It's her/him alright. Covered in blood and thrown in a water fountain. "Oh God... That's them... How did it happen?" The officer sighs. "Suspected homicide."
You feel like your world has been crushed. You've known her/him since you were a kid. "I understand. Can I have a minute?" The officer nods and all of them exit the room. You start to feel light as the room starts spinning. You take a few deep breaths and you watch as the officer comes in. "Me and the team have to go. We'll keep you updated on this case. Have a nice day." You stand up and decide to shower to keep your mind occupied. You step into the hot, steamy water and get the feeling of despair. You soon feel warm tears flow down your face. You allow your emotions to take control as you start sobbing violently.
After your shower you walk outside and bump into a tall woman with long brown hair. "Sorry Ma'am." You try to pass her. "Y/N?" You hear a guy call out. You look up and realize it wasn't a woman. "Do I know you?" You try to recall seeing his face before but you can't find a memory with him in it. "No, I'm F/N's brother. I found something that you might want to see." You feel your heart twitch at the mention of her/his name. "Oh... I'm sorry for your loss." You smile weakly and hear your voice waiver. You feel tears sting your eyes.
The guy sighs and cups your face. "Don't cry. The cops are working on it. I'm John by the way. John Doe." You look up at him and get an unsettling feeling in your gut. You nod. "Y/N L/N." He nods. "I know, F/N talked about you, a lot." That made you even more sad. "I'm sorry... I have to go." You rush back into your house and lock the door. You begin to silently sob. You get a notification on your phone and it's Snapchat memories. You look through them to see pictures of you and F/N together. You laugh at the ones from your 21st birthday. Memories flooding back. Kareoke and whisky. You smiles as tears flow heavily down your face. You see one of you and F/N at the zoo petting the giraffes. You smile to yourself. "I have to go there again..."
The next few days go by quickly and soon Sunday comes around. You get dressed and start driving to the zoo with a bouquet of white roses. You feel your eyes sting as you pull in. You sigh and start walking around. You come across the giraffes and feel a weight on your shoulders. You place the roses down on the bench along with a picture of F/N. You then reach your hand out and a giraffe comes forward. You stroke his neck and sniffle a bit. You get caught off guard when you see a newborn giraffe walking towards the gate. You smile and feel relieved in a way. "Hey, F/N..."
You walk over to the gift shop and buy a water. After you finish walking around, you walk back to your car to find a note on the window. 'Hey there, Y/N." You looks around eerily and decide it's nothing so you drive home and make some noodles and hot coco. You sit down and watch some tv before starting to feel drowsy. you rest your eyes and next thing you know you're asleep.
