antagonist 1, abattoir, is a little goblin man who hates the hoa. naturally most everyone knows him as chris cause he isnt outing himself as a filthy edgelord to janice who already hates him because he tried to do an exorcism in his guest bedroom once all of this is canon i am not joking he's got this internet troll personality and would totally harass people online if his tech knowledge wasn't extremely scattered and dumb. Instead he settles for stealing people's phone numbers and text harassing them then kidnapping them. he also likes gardening and takes care of the local feral cats

antagonist 2, jericho, is the one we dont talk about. not even bastard just a straight up dickhead. hes got the personality of a bad creepypasta and the timing of a heart attack and no one really likes him but abattoir puts up with him cause theres only one person he knows whos willing to help him move a body and its this idiot who keeps stepping on glass but still refuses to wear any sort of shoes

this babey is Eliza, the protagonist for the majority of the story. You know those people that are definitely touch starved but don't wanna admit it and pretend nothing's up? That's her. She's in school for engineering and is genuinely passionate about it. She tends to push herself hard but she can be easily pushed into things she doesn't want to do. She really wants to make people happy and keep her friends safe. She doesn't trust easily and doesn't have a lot of friends, so she's very scared of losing the friends that she has.

This boy's Jesse, he's the secondary protagonist and my usual persona character. He's definitely the most self-inserty of my OCs, he's a sadboi who's majoring in something he really doesn't want to do. He wants to be a writer but not gonna lie he's terrible at it. He's anxious and scared of a lot of things and would really prefer to be left alone most of the time but is also needy. Basically your average depressed high schooler, but add college stress and asian family stress (he's mixed lol asian mom white as hell dad) and you've got this lad. He can be really impulsive because if he thinks about something for too long he gets paralyzed by deciding. All in all, he just really wants some weed, man. He's just too broke to get any

Sylvie is basically the best friend character from a coming of age movie that's all bubbly and fun but also she really likes the movies where everyone dies. Her favorite is Scream, she makes Eliza watch it with her at least once a month. Eliza humors her. They live in Maine and when they moved her first thought was wow thats the stephen king state so i think that says everything you need to know. She's also very wholesome and fun and doesn't represent her taste in film at all. She's always looking for a boyfriend or someone to attach to, and she trusts very easily. It's easy to manipulate her so long as you earn her trust first, which is not hard at all. Her friends have to keep her from going along with dumb plans or being too impulsive, one time in high school she tried to get the resident stoner to give her a tongue tattoo in the middle of math class Eliza nearly slapped her

Fenna is that kind of person that interprets "I want a piercing" to mean "hey Fenna can you stab me with a needle in the middle of the farmer's market real quick" and she will do it. She also wants to overthrow the government because she thinks monarchy is for pussies. She gets angry very fast and has a bit of a rebellious streak, so she tends to push people away not because she wants to but because she's a bit intimidating. She doesn't have a last name or anything because she's been disavowed from both sides of her family, her elf side bc theyre racist and dicks, and her water nymph side because she was like "haha, i want short hair suckers im leaving" She specializes in brewing potions with various effects and works with an apothecary (before in plot she gets drafted into the military). She isn't a fan of war no matter how edgy she might be, and just kind of wants everyone to get along and thinks the ends justify the means.
