when are you changing your style/way to make it not look like you're a shy rip-off.... now it's annoying me because i have that one thought in my head that you kind of are
Also Kitty, yes you actually can because you made it up and others are going ahead and stealing it. That's not cool, is it? Would you like it if I started to copy you all of a sudden? No.
actually, personally YOURSELF can make up your own art style to use in your drawings. Your style is a complete rip-off of shy, it's obvious.
You kind of cant own a style. most people see styles of drawing they like and imitate it. It's how art works.
...although people do change the style to better suit them.
I have no idea who shyrosolove is, but she could chill the **** out. "Oh no, someone is drawing like I do." who cares?
I honestly think you can own a style. You look at a picture and you think "Hey that looks like (insert artist) drew it!" That proves that the way that drawing was portrayed looked like a certain artist drew it. Shyroselove isn't even ****ing doing anything either she just said if ummuki could change her style and ummuki decided to act immature about it and be rude about it.
What do you mean who cares? If someone is copying your art style it makes the artist feel sad and not unique anymore. It's kinda like having someone stealing you're artwork entirely, kinda. The only reason why I'm even arguing is because ummuki is being rlly rude and even called puppiesarecute333 a dumb ***** m8. Like what the ****.
I mean, if you get inspiration from an artist and decide to have an art style similar to them it's fine. As long as they alter it to make it fit their own style and not the artist they got inspired from. Ummiku blatantly ripped off shyroselove art style entirely and called it her own.

If you like the way something looks, you draw it. That's what art is, right? Style is the same as subject, in my opinion.
Ummuki shouldn't have been a *****, but everyone really needs to chill out about the whole thing.
Also, if shyroselove draws exactly like this, it's not particularly good, is it?
Reacting to being told she's copied someone and that she needs to change the way she draws because someone's feeling sad about it?
And the people telling her are being pretty... "forceful" about it.
Mm, okay man I get it we were forcing her to change her art style. Okay. But before that she should of at least say she was inspired by shyroselove and not just say "oh this is mine and it's unique" I mean she also was being disrespectful which triggered a bunch of people to yell at her lol
The first thing I saw, was people telling ummukii to draw differently. If someone told me I had to change my style because it's too similar to PivotmasterXD, I'd tell them to **** off.
Everytime I just go to lay down I miss something. I too, also, believe you can own a style. You don't particularly 'own it' but you created it, so it's yours. If you copy someone's art style, your an art theft. If your style is based off of someones style, your not really a rip off if I can point out a lot of differences. If your style is almost 100% exact as another's, your a rip off. Pointing that out cause' a lot of people don't know that.
After reading this argument, I found this one piece that made me feel confused. Shy asked her to change her style? many times? Wow, that just makes me smile. If the original creator asks you to change your style up a bit, just do it. It's not like you'll get shot in the head for changing the way the hair and eyes look. If you ignore any request from the creator, you'll be surely drowned in threats from their fan base. No doubt on that, cause I've seen it happen before. ummukii, yeah, change your style a bit please. It's obviously triggering others around you.

Yes you CAN steal a way to draw things. Artist's developed over time, and they're proud with their style. But people going off and copying their progress isn't very fun. You CAN draw something in YOUR OWN way, and this girl seems to NOT understand our simple words.
oh come on. Ive seen about 3 other people animate in that style. And i saw them on youtube. ok. its was like a year ago i saw those 3
and so. Shy did not Claim that style, she uses it. that does not mean Its her's and ONLY her's.

Shy asked someone to not draw some things a certain way because she thought it looked too much like how she'd draw it, and you all are asking (Read: telling) that person to draw differently.

I'm only asking if ummukii could change her style just a tiny bit differently. Like the eye and hair style. I don't understand why its so hard to do such a thing.
