to be honest, I can see the others getting invited to a royal party. but the only person there is Fenrift-

well i do remember the style. but maybe everyone approaching the seemingly abandoned kingdom?

Ivy stared at the abandoned kingdom. every fire was burned out. large chunks of ice covered entire streets. a house was entirely engulfed in ice. there were strange spikes of ice that darted the streets. not even the fountains were thawed. everything was cold, and dark. the castle windows though, seemed to be emitting blue light of sorts. Ivy looked back down at the invitation she had gotten a couple days prior to this. she had a sinking feeling there were more too the spikes of ice than it seemed.

Ivy walked over to a spike, wiping her hand on it before stumbling back. it was a civilian, trapped in ice. pain and fear riddled their face as they were stuck in a timeless photo of them mid sprint. Ivy ran around to each and every spike, revealing each and every one of them was a civilian. one was even a child, crying with their stuffed bear tucked in their arms. she looked over at gold and silver, pain riddled her heart. "what happened?.." was all she could really say.

something large landed behind them. a wyvern, cyan eyes glowing in the parking. chuckling lowly, it tilted its head. "are you the strange creatures the king has requested to the... party?" it laughed. "you three don't look like much"

it laughed. "do not hide the princess from me. I am his trusted advisor. he told me to retrieve the princess, and her chosen guests." it grinned. it's teeth were made out of solid, thick ice.

it growled, before it released a icy breath, the ice, upon impact, rose from the ground itself in large, solid sheets of ices, even spikes. Ivy was scared before looking at the castle, before pointing at it. "run for it!"

it growled, staring at them. before taking off after them. or so it seemed. it just flew past them and into a broken window of the castle, looking back before heading in. that window led to the throne room.

Ivy stared in shock, before grabbing gold and landing to the nearest roof. she slide off it, adjusting her grip and took off, grumbling. "you need to be more careful! silver wait up!"

Ivy gulped, looking around. "i-i'm not sure anywhere is safe. should we head to the castle? The king must have some sort of explanation for this." she was heartbroken at what this city had become. espically upon seeing the child encased in ice.

Ivy growled. "you don't think i know that silver! we are in his domain. we play his game, that THING doesn't come after us a freezes us. if we leave, we lose our chance of saving the people." she snarled, staring at the castle. she didn't find Fenrift in any of the frozen civilians. "Fenrift was with the royal family, yes? maybe he's in there and he can help us."

Ivy smiled, looking over. "this time, let me carry you. your fracture didn't exactly heal right." she smiled softly. before looking back over at the castle, eyes narrowing.

Ivy smiled, crouching down so gold can get on her back. she was staring at the castle, "silver, do you think you can send my auntie a message? just incase things get nasty." her eyes narrowed.

Ivy looked over, pouting a little. "you clearly are hurt. I only wish for the best for you." she smiled.

Ivy got up, smiling. she grabbed onto him so he wouldn't fall off and she took off, towards the castle. she was debating on whether to use the door or the window the creature entered through.

the interior was cold. ice made arches going down the hallway, guards stood motionless, they were alive of course, but pale white. at the end was the throne, and who sat on that throne, was no other but Fenrift. eyes ever winding as it stared at the two. frost was all over him, on his clothes, his horns, even his fur had frost. the creature from earlier laid next to the throne, sleeping.

Ivy stared in disbelief. Fenrift on the other hand smiled, clicking his claws on the arm of the throne. "finally decided to incite yourselves in, aye?" he grinned, the cyan color in his eyes matched the ones of the creature. icicle corruption.

Fenrift growled. "they didn't want me, they didn't love me like a true prince. no one respected me, that is, until i met Borielis." he grinned, waving a hand to the creature taking a nap. Ivy gulped, wondering when azula or anyone would be here. where was even cherry?

Fenrift stood up, walking down the steps from the throne. "gold they are very much alive. just, stuck in time." he grinned, before it turned into a snarl, once again.

Ivy was terrified. what had possibly happen to her friend? Fenrift snarled, "don't like my choices. then make me take them back. to feel this power," Borielis was up, closing in on them. "it's a gift, everyone is saying it's a curse though.."

Fenrift snarled. "isn't me anymore? This is me, Gold! this what I was meant to be! a king over a golden kingdom! and you dare speak to me in that manner in my castle!" he snarled. eyes narrowing. Borielis was grinning, gaining closer and closer to them.

Fenrift snarled, "you said it was enough when you had me banished from my kingdom. Borielis, take care of them. i'll.. be in my chambers. our conversation has concluded." he bowed, snarling before walking off. Borielis lunges at Azula, spewing more of that cursed ice.

Ivy stared at Fenrift leaving the room. "w-what about fenrift!" fenrift walked into his chambers, sitting on his bed. on the desk was cherry, frozen in place. sleeping soundlessly. Borielis was putting up a lot of fight, spewing ice at the soldiers, tail slashing at some. even to the point he would bite and scratch.

Borielis looked over at azula. it's eyes ever winding. it snarled, swaying like a snake about to strike. teething baring at her.

Ivy ran down the hall, trying to figure out which door lead to fenrift's quarters. Borielis on the other hand didn't care, he planned on encasing azula in ice and that was all. he tried to spew ice again, roaring.

Borielis roared, falling over, onto his back. his corrupted hand let go of Fenrift. Fenrift on the other hand stood up, before falling to floor, the cold rushed to him so quickly he went into shock. Ivy ran over to help, looking around for blankets.

Ivy screamed for auntie, grabbing the blanket off the bed. wrapping Fenrift in it. she looked over at the frozen cherry on the desk, at least she looked peaceful. but she could feel the soul still there. she looked down at Fenrift, scared.

Ivy stared at azula, trying to get her words out. looking at cherry, then at Fenrift, and back at azula. she saw so much pain today it was as if she was in a battlefield.

(aluza-) Fenrift fell asleep, laying in ivy's arms. the ice that incased cherry was melting. she was still alive, just sleeping.

Ivy sighed, finally calming down. "h- he was banished for endangering another royal family. but, he can't survive out in the cold beyond the walls." she stared at Fenrift.

Ivy sighed, nodding. "that is alright, you should take his pet as well. it seemed to uh.. help him emotionally" she smiled. Fenrift shifted a little, sighing.

the old king and queen were in the throne room, helping their son up, the son looked almost exactly like Fenrift. but he looked more loved than Fenrift, while Fenrift had his usually white shirt and suspenders. the son was jewelry, and was in more royal clothing. Fenrift was slowly waking up.

the king nodded, smiling. "very well, when should we go to her?" The queen was silent, as usual. she was mute, after all. the son just scratched his head, looking around.

the king smiled, bowing politely. "thank you so much." the brother, upon hearing the threat looked away.

the king and queen smiled, nodding. the prince tried to walk away from the situation. he didn't seem to talk about his brother. Fenrift sat up, groggily. looking around, yawning.

Fenrift jumped back, before realizing his glasses were gone. "..i think i have some reading glasses in my nightstand." Fenrift seemed shaken up, but none the less his sour self.

Fenrift slowly got up, stumbling a little before grabbing the glasses, handing them over to gold. cherry was snoring. The king looked over at his wife, before nodding. "I think that would be best, Fenrift always was power hungry for the throne" the prince in the background snarled, that was a lie.

Fenrift sat down. "I was.. indeed banished. I found Borielis, he.. did something and..i shouldn't have trusted him. but i was cold, dying in a blizzard when he found me. he turned me into a ruthless...king. a tyrant." The prince looked over at silver, sighing. "rulie will do. but um.. father is lying. my brother isn't power hungry. he's.. just. angry, I've been the favorite child our entire lives." he sighed.

Fenrift sighed, crossing his arms and sitting on his bed. "i presume i will be thrown back out?" he growled at the thought. he was thinking on what would happen to borielis. but he didn't think to much of it. Rulie was pacing a little. he was a spoiled, but in a good way. he never wanted much, he was just given too much. "when we were born fenrift was mostly raised by the maids." he kicked a chunk of debris.

rulie growled a little. "i don't think that, i know that. he calls one of our maids, elizabeth. mother." he huffed. looking over at his parents. "its really irritating if you ask me." borielis was sleeping. could radiated around him. a light frost o the ground around him. it was fighting the heat but none the less failing.

Fenrift was being attacked by cherry. who was delighted to see him. she was hopping around like a dog that was given a coffee. when she say azula she stopped and sat on the edge of the bed, practically shaking with excitement. Fenrift on the other hand edged away from azula, a little scared of her to be honest. Rulie started calming down, sighing. "elizabeth should be around, i don't even know where she went when he went haywire." he grumbled. looking around now, a little worried.

Fenrift paused, looking over at her. he was surprised she didn't just throw him out like his parents did. ivy chuckled a little. "azula, he just woke up. hes already scared of from last time you two met." cherry on the other hand couldn't contain herself and bounded over to azula, tail wagging. rulie looked over, sighing. "you, don't have to. my parents really don't like her because she stole fenrift from them, as they put it. the only reason shes alive because i had forbidden it, for my brother's sake." he smiled.

rulie smiled, his arms laying on his sides. "i hope so, i'm sure he won't try anything to.. troublesome." he chuckled at the thought. "oh uh, he does a shellfish allergy, if that helps you guys." a maid ran by, she was brightly colored, broken glasses. her neck fluff was cut shorter than the rest. her horns were small, but twisted in a unusual shape. cherry squeaked at the maid, causing the young lady to stop, pet cherry and run back down the hall. ivy chuckled a little. "shes just a little frustrated at how troublesome you are fenrift." fenrift sighed, mumbling something before going into a room to the side. it wasn't a bathroom nor a closet. it seemed to be a hideaway of sorts. books, papers, and pencil scattered about. blankets in a neat little bundle in the corner. and jars of different beetles.

ivy smiled, holding her arms out. "cmon, your looking as tired as my mother after simply teleporting." she laughed. she was trying her best to hide the pain of what had happened. Fenrift was tending to his beetles, even getting one out to make sure it was ok. they did just have a sudden temperature drop. rulie thought for a moment, sighing. "i say give him a little hideaway. he has one in his room. he also has the tendency to have a beetle collection. he thinks they are cute i guess." he smiled a little. cherry hissed at the sleeping serpent. her quills flaring up. "bad." was all she said. she could mimic few words.

Ivy smiled, playing with his hair. fenrift came out with a rhino beetle. "h-hey, um, have you guys seen mother?" he was a little concerned. the beetle, lazily crawling up his arm. the maid was asking around for fenrift in the throne room. when the king said he was taken care of, she looked heartbroken. bowing before going and asking rulie about it.

rulie was trying to calm her down, the young raptor was shaking like a leaf. trying to figure out whats going on. fenrift shifted his feet a little. looking away, "i uh, i haven't seen my mother ever sense my blackout." he looked down the beetle rested on the side of his arm.

ivy shrugged. "not entirely sure, probably, she is the queen." fenrift shook his head. "shes not my mother." ivy grew confused, looking at fenrift. rulie looked over, sighing. "elizabeth is just panicking. she can't find fenrift and of course my parents didn't help." elizabeth was a mess, broken glasses, short hair, surprisingly she wasn't in a dress. she was in a suit, but the tie wasn't around her neck, it just rested on her shoulders.

fenrift nodded. "mother is kinder than her. she cares for me." he smiled. ivy thought for a moment, before smiling. "we can go out and look!" elizabeth, after couple deep breathes, she calmed down. rulie chuckled, waving his hands. "i'm fine, i was actually trying to calm her down as well." he smiled.

fenrift sat down on the bed, picking up the beetle on his arm. "mother gets really worried easily" he smiled, staring at the beetle. elizabeth followed silently, clutching her chest. rulie follows behind them, just trying to get away from his parents. he wanted to make sure fenrift was mentally and physically alright.

elizabeth ran over to fenrift, slapping him across the head befor hugging him. "you gave me a heartattack! don't scare me like that." fenrift teared up a little elizabeth hit him so hard, but none the less he just hugged her. rulie didn't really go over to him, nervous none the less. ivy waved at silver.

fenrift after a while, started chuckling nervously. "mother, you can let go now." elizabeth jumped, letting go. "sorry, honey." rulie just grabbed a book off the shelf, reading. ivy tilted her head.

elizabeth looked over, nodding. "yeah, sense clearly his birth parents can't take care of him and rulie at the same time." she huffed, she actually planned on running away with him to the neighboring village outside the walls of the kingdom.

ivy shrugged. "i dunno really." she looked away, sighing.

Fenrift of course was carrying his jars of beetles. the feathers on his tail were gone, which meant prime season for them was over. and was kinda glad he was out of his own castle and away from his family. looking over at azula, going to say something, be he decided it was best to keep quiet.

fenrift nodded, "yes ma'am, i um. i'm sorry..about the last incident last i came here." he adverted his eyes, looking at his beetles. he looked down the hall, trying to figure out what the tapping was. only to be met with a cherry hopping onto his head.

ivy looked over, waving. "hi dad!" fenrift was inside where he heard her. "dad?" was all he said. he was really confused as to why azula was edging him to enter so quickly. he looked over at silver for some sort of answer.

fenrift's ears pinned down at the sight of Vivian. looking over at silver and starting to speedwalk. "yes yes lets get going before i get targeted-" cherry was squawking at all the sudden head movements. ivy hugged vivian, smiling. "hows mom?"

Fenrift froze, looking over at vivian. cherry bit fenrift's horn. frustrated he just threw his head around like that. Fenrift didn't care, either that he was frozen in fear. ivy looked over at fenrift. "i mean, fenrift doesn't mean any harm dad. so auntie why are you so hasty to get him to the quarantine bay?"

Fenrift shrinked a little, cherry screeched at him. Fenrift was trying to hold all his beetles, none the less he was shaking like a leaf. mumbling something about how scary he was.

Fenrift started stuttering. looking over at azula. "death?! I have been flirting with Death's Daughter?!" ivy snorted a little, walking over, chuckling. "fenrift, calm down your fine." fenrift nearly dropped a jar, catching it with his foot.

fenrift looked like he was about to have a stroke. he just stard at them. "s-so.. if your a god.. is.. ivy a god?" he slowly pointed at ivy. this honestly got ivy thinking.

ivy laughed. Fenrift sighed, taking a breathe. after a little bit he nodded, shuffling his jars. "I am.. very sorry for the trouble I've caused for your family"

Fenrift bowed. he knew he wouldn't forgive him so easily. how ivy came out of such a intimidating person he had no idea. Ivy sighed, grabbing some of his jars. "cmon, let's get you set up."

ivy paused, before huffing. "dad's in a judgy mood." she walked on, holding fenrift's jarred beetles. Fenrift sighed. "so I stay here, not allow to explore the castle?"

Fenrift nodded. "well if it helps, I'm a little dizzy and I have some chest pain. but other than that i'm physically fine" he looked over at azula. ivy looked over.
