Your oc had recently hit rock bottom your luck had run out and rent increased being kicked out of your home you shortly lost your job now living on the streets cold and alone watching as the richer and more privileged people walked by no even giving you a glance eventually after a few days your heard amongst your small town that a new shop had opened a pawnbroker had come to town and set up a shop he was a rather tall man with nice clothes messy black hair long hair incredibly long that was tied up in a pony tail and was straight from there then at the bottom it poofed out wildly he was in rather good shape for being 33 people said one day while sitting on the streets you felt a gloved hand come down on your shoulder looming up it was the same man from the shop who's name was Eugene he suddenly asked something you wouldn't have expected "would you like to be my apprentice?" A soft noise filled your ears and everything felt warm and fuzzy under his gaze you nodded 1/

Without a second thought even though that wasn't what you really wanted he simply smiled telling you to come to the shop at midnight and left you came at the time he requested and was about to knock but he opened the door before you did he made a gesture to come In and moved aside the shop was small but cozy with a frog cage that was a poison dart frog too the frog croaked and went back to what it was doing he led you to the fire place giving you food and a drink you were surprised by His generous offers and gratefully took them he nodded without a second though after you were finished he gave you better clothes you changed quickly and met him back in the room he then led you behind the counter into the backroom which was very lovely with bookshelfs and such along with a roaring fireplace and two very good chairs he sat you down before leaving for a minute or two and came back with a old looking book he opened it with a quill and ink on the coffee table he spoke "tell me your darkest secret if you want this"
