You ever be madly in love with someone else's character?? You want a character like that so bad? But pesky copyright laws exist? And so do proper manners? Well do I have the solution 4 you it's called insperation lol the first thing to do is nit pick the character, what is it that you like about them? Like your two or three favorite things, like, do they have a sexy voice, do you like their outfit, their hair style ect you take those things, an you put your own little twist on them, like, they have cool hair? Change up the colors and tweak the hair style a bit you like their outfit? Same thing like their backstory? That gets a bit complicated but you can still use factors about it that you like and convert it to your own thing also a big thing is, if your character intentionally looks like another person's, don't give them the same name, or vica verca like if the character you are referencing is named Bob, maybe name yours tod, bon, Ron, Robby ect

so anyways continuing I mean steal as in like, taking factors (that aren't super unique to a character and such) and converting them to your own thing so it's like wacky insperation

AND THE THING IS DONT JUST RECOLOR OR RENAME THE CHARACTER that's a big nono ykw here's some examples sbsbbks you know my character Mr crispy man? Edgar/Eddie? I kinda like, based him off Eddy snippy fingers I liked the nickname I liked the crazy hair a bit and I liked the fact of a character having hands that don't do as they are supposed to so I borrowed those features or in this context "steal" and made them into something else entirely you see what I mean now? Assuming twig toes smh /nm

I also have more examples of this specifically backstery wise take papa jackie for example no joke I was inspired by Evelyn Evelyn and asouf to make his backstory pile of unpleasent events piled up on some unusual kid(s) that ends up being very brutal and such what I did was, Jackie wasn't an innocent soul, he became a complete monster because he let life get the better of him and was too busy going "woe is me" and doing that lead his life to get even worse until it ultimately killed him unlike the inspos that were just like "ayo were just lil kids why is the world so mean to us!"

Exactly why I put steal in the little quotes lol like exactly but apparently no one knows it exists anymore lo I've personally had my characters literally stolen before and maybe genderbent and like, it's just like instead of taking the entire character and maybe slapping clothes on it maybe like idk take what little things about it you like and run with it?

Oh dude There's been several people who straight up stole my characters before, and ngl it was funny But I'm the type of person that only shows a tiny bit of their character so it can't be directly copied But I've seen people on here that just take characters from shows and such and changed them just a little bit And it's a little???

I like, loose my mind if someone draws my characters, (especially if that person has like, a very enjoyable art style) bc it brings joy, like having my own little fandom >:) I think it's just like "I wanna do my own things with this character" but I'm just like "dude, just go for it I don't care as long as you don't take my babies smh oh dude, I know that's so cringe when people do that I remember once the same child who stole my character who was making one of those five nights at Freddy's characters on a game so I was like "ayo interesting hack I'll try it myself but I'm gonna make a raccoon" (mine turned out much better ngl) but she went all like "OH YOU CAN COPY ME BUT I CANT STEAL YOUR CHARACTER" like it would be different if you came up with the idea bozo

If only I wasn't artistically crippled at the moment,, I think I messed something up and I can't draw right at the moment :( I don't think the actual creator gives a damn anyway but like the dude fr screamed at me for something a lot of other people do,,, at least mine was unique unlike how she literally put devil horns on the red Ford character and called it an oc,,,,
