It's not always a bad thing
Sometimes that behaviour means you have an excess amount of pride for said task/action, that has taken upon itself to become narcissistic.
no I just thought it was probably the best thing I ever made/will make and was proud of my self for it.

Well, along with pride does come certain feelings of anxiousness. But it's perfectly normal to be proud of something you made. Eventually, you will have grown so attached to it that you aspire to create something bigger, better, and in doing so you are improving your own self worth.
It's normal to feel both at once.

Ah, but it will and it has been. Without realizing, you improve on it every day.
Maybe you decide to eat an apple instead of a sugary snack or a food that isn't entirely good for you.
This in itself is being confident enough to make the proper choices for yourself.
And any feeling or outburst that is in a positive manner is also having the motivation and or confidence to feel good.
