i mean the legend of the operator, or slenderman, or der grossmann, actually goes centuries and centuries back to the black forest in Germany. Apparently he was a child murderer, and they hung him from a tree after stretching his arms and legs out. Thats why he targets children. Marble hornets, tribetwelve, and everymanHYBRID all add to the myths a bit. id reccomend watching them some time.
