thorton comes from a far off planet called kolvar. humans landed on his planet when he was in he was younger, and being the plant lover he is, he was ecstatic when he heard that there was plants as far as the eye could see on earth. on kolvar, his kind could talk and listen to plants. he believed that the plants on earth were sentient too and that he could meet new friends!!! the thought off plants covering the ground in bristles and there being huge towering trees everywhere was amazing to him. kolvar doesnt have that many plants. when he came to earth, he tried to talking to some plants. they would respond for some reason. he tried and tried again, talking to all the plants he could see. "hello? can you hear me? are you sick? please talk to me..???" finding out that earths plants couldnt talk to him was heartbreaking.
