this is coot >w< anyways can i ask you a favor? i was going to ask it on your recent anim but there are so many people xD. So how do you shade and blend the colors of your picture in? I've been trying to replicate it but i don't think im using the right tools..? Im working on a drawing but i wanna know how to do this xd Its ok if you cant tell me though ^^
Ofc I’ll answer! My neighbour fren fry, I’d never ignore chu~
Ok, so I either use
1) gradients
2) paint roller
I use both,, but paint roller is better for shading ang highlights, yeet. Gradients r just so I don’t have just one tone of colour on my art.
To shade dark areas with the paint roller, u get a grey (in custom colours), darker than the half way mark, but make it close to the half way mark or it’ll be too dark.
To shade light areas, like highlights or light streaming in, u use a grey lighter than the half way mark, but make it close to the half way make or it’ll be too light.
U can also use the greys on the default palette, the darkest and 2nd darkest grey is probably the best.
Hope this helps ^^
