a twig snapped behind them he panicked and pulled saffron into the dark and put his hand over her mouth

a black humanoid creature appeared from the darkness

"shit..I didn't know they'd be out tonight.." he started chanting something under his breath

he ignored her and kept chanting

"it's a shapeshifter..." He grabbed saffron's hand and made a symbol with his finger

"I believe it's their hunting month...But we have to be quiet they come in groups.."

he got up and looked around
