As you continue conversing with Bairen, telling him what you could remember about yourself and hearing what he was willing to tell you, but soon you realized the fog you were walking through was slowly beginning to clear. The trees were becoming farther between as well. And then you saw the gates ahead of you, leading to the large city you and Bairen were traveling to, looming along with the vast wall. You barely had time to marvel at the structure before you saw someone else. A large, bulky figure clad in a dark cloak and heavy knight’s armor, standing in front of the gate. A sword was plunged into the ground beside them, with a gem in the center of the guard as blue as a river, letting loose a small stream of crimson blood. A voice calls from the figure. “What.. is.. thine.. purpose.. here..?” It was a shallow voice, one whose throat had long gone dry. Bairen’s friendly demeanor seemed to shift a bit as he glared at the once-human creature. A: “To enter the city?” B: “None of your business. Step aside.”
