a while after following, you see a large group of these little lights.... with a woman sitting in the middle of the big bunch

the woman had long orange hair that was pulled back into a high ponytail, she was wearing a red jacket and black, baggy pants that had a tight elastic around her ankles

she looked behind herself to look at finch "what do you mean?"

"they've always been here..... you've just never seen them...." she smiled

"well.... these lovelies normally live in another continent.... but they had to move"

"who knows, really....... but the climate here is normally pretty cold i'd say.... so they must live in cold areas" she shrugged

"the climate at there old area was maybe to hot for their already warm bodies....." she held one in her hands "spiderfly eggs also don't incubate correctly in warm weather"

a couple of the little bugs flew up and hovered around finch, giggling softly

a few more fluttered over and the woman smiled

"yes.... they definitely have a charm...." the soft blue glow that they emanated and the small giggling from time to time was calming in a way

it was a little bit warm, and it nuzzled finch's finger gently

it flew in a small circle before hovering over his nose.... a few of the little things rested on his horn

it giggled softly and tapped his nose with one of it's legs then it's face

it soon fluttered up and rested on his head, and the woman walked over with multiple of these little spiderflies in her hair

she chuckled "these things really like people..... they're very cuddly creatures" she smiled

"i'm Hera" she smiled at him "you?"

"you've got a very fitting name" a bunch of the spiderflies from her hair flew into her hands with two that were already there

"wanna know a fun fact about spiderflies?" she looked at her hands

"spiderflies are poisonous if you eat them.... but they're great for medicinal purposes"

"makes sense why you wouldn't..... but theres always that one person"

"animals eat them sometimes.... so i wouldn't just call humans weird"

she nodded and began to walk in the opposite direction

she kept walking, a handful of spiderflie in her hands and some still in her hair

she walked up to a cabin

she looked at him "oh, no... it's alright! you can come inside if you'd like" she smiled

she set the spiderflies atop her head, then opened up the cabin

she held the door open for him "after you" she smiled

she nodded then closed the door after she walked inside..... the living space was cozy, there was a small fire going in a fireplace near a couch

"why thank you" she smiled, walking over to a small desk

"finch....." she looked over at him

"do you have any cuts or scrapes of any kind? are you injured in any way?" she tilted her head a little

"hm... well.... remember what i said about spiderflies earlier?"

"i hope you don't mind the sight of blood....." she grabbed something sharp off of her desk

she rolled up her sleeve "i wouldn't hurt my guest...."

she took the object and cut open her arm, a smile still on her face

"i warned you... didn't i?" she picked up one of the spiderflies sleeping on her head after setting down the object

she crushed the little bug in her hand, before it died it let out a small scream

"showing you their medicinal purpose" she smiled as she opened her hand, revealing a glowing, pastel blue liquid all over her gloved hand

she rubbed it into the cut with a small smile

her cut soon began healing... and it healed fast and without a scar

"i wouldn't hurt myself for satisfactory purposes...." she rolled her sleeve down again

"i get that it's brutal, and mean.... but it's honestly the only way i've survived here...." she sat down in the chair at her desk

"i'm sorry.... but you might've not believed me if i hadn't shown you" she looked at the floor after moving the spiderflies on her head to her desk

"well.... sometimes other creatures die to be eaten..... life is cruel...." she looked at the bundle of sleeping spiderflies "you of all people should know that.... you live here"

"oh.... any kind of wound, and i don't think you wanna know how deep i cut...."

"oh, and..... i doubt that you ever will.... but"

"hm..? oh.... i was going to ask you to not tell anyone about the features and uses of these poor creatures.... but.. partially, yes" she looked at the small pile of light sympathetically

"i don't know..... but i'm just afraid of losing these little ones..... and trust me, i do care...."

"i know.... but after every time that happens... i quietly say sorrys and thank yous....."

"i'm sorry..... but it's also been a part of my research on them..... after seeing an animal dies shortly after eating one, but another animal have a scratch completely heal after having the blood on the scratch.... i wanted to know more, and now i've spiraled down...."

they were sleeping peacefully, a couple woke up and walked slowly around the desk

Hera looked at them with a calm look in her eyes, looking a little sad

"i won't....." she put the thing, from earlier, away "you can count on it...." she looked at finch

she sighed as she studied the movements of the spiderflies with a somber expression

there were still some spiderflies sleeping on his horn... so silent and so peaceful that they went unnoticed

one was starting to tilt over the edge, then fell off quickly catching itself in flight, then it fluttered on top of finch's head and fell back asleep

time skip to the next day?)) a tiny sneeze could be heard from one of them, then a small noise which sounded like a small snore

Hera was surrounded by spiderflies, as she normally is

she looked incredibly distracted by the little lights

she saw finch out of the corner of her eye..... then turned around to face him

her brown eyes looked almost blue with the little lights all around her

she looked a bit sad..... a few spiderflies fluttered over and tapped him with their little legs

they pulled lightly on his hair, in the direction of hera

she was holding something, red light peeking through the openings in her hands

she opened her hands, a small, red spiderfly sitting in her hand

"i just found this little guy....." she rubbed the top of it's head with the tip of her finger, it giggled a little

"i know.... spiderflies are light blue..."

"there must've been a genetic mutation.... because i remember seeing a green one once....."

"i doubt that...." the small bug didn't look sick, it looked cheery and peppy, like all the others

"it's still cute..." she smiled a bit "and even if it were sick, i'd try and find a way to help it"

she looked at finch with a shocked yet angry look, unable to find words

she looked back at the spiderfly "now why would i do that..... it already told you, and showed you things that no one would believe...."

"because i doubted that you'd even think to believe me if i'd only told you...." she sat down on the ground

"have you ever heard of a fake face?!" she raised her voice a bit

"then you'd know the sh^t i'd have to do to get people to even think to believe me"

she walked up to finch "here..... if you really think i'm going to kill it" she held out her hand with the red spiderfly

it shook a little after leaving Hera's hand, then rubbed it's front legs together

hera was sitting in the center of the group of spiderflies again.... the red spiderfly giggled a little, it's wings fluttering lightly, and a smile on it's face

the sound of a pencil breaking could be heard from Hera's direction, then an angry groan.... the small spiderfly fluttered it's wings more, trying to fly, but it seemed it was unable to fly

she took out a pocket knife and sharpened the pencil carefully

she closed the knife, putting it on the inside of her jacket, then writing again, looking up from time to time

a couple spiderflies flew up to her face, one resting on her nose and the other messing with her hair

FLU?! LOL)) it kept trying to fly, unsuccessful every time

it got worn out and it fell asleep

MEDIVAL!!!! i'm dying!)) it soon feel asleep

the sheer amount of typos.....)) it let out a high pitched sneeze, and startled itself awake

ok... fine you fag/j)) it shook itself awake more, soon looking up at finch with a little smile

it walked in small circles on the cotton ball then curled up to go back to sleep

it stretched a bit as it yawned, getting even more comfortable

it stayed in it's spot on the cotton ball, sleeping and slightly snoring, but it was very quiet

something ran into the window..... the red spiderfly still lay asleep

a small spiderfly kept trying to get in through the very much closed window...... it was, light purple

it fluttered inside nodding to finch, smiling

it flew off to the red one, a loud yell could be heard from outside "WAIT!"

Hera was running over, trying to get the purple spiderfly "little spritz! wait up!" she yelled

hera skidded to a halt, falling back, sliding across the grass "ow-..."..... the purple one was flying around finch's place

when it was backed into a corner, it fluttered there, idle

it yelped a little, purple light shining through and open part in his hands

she popped her head through the window looking around

hera looked at finch and nodded "thank you! thank you very much" she lightly took it into her hands

she nodded gratefully "thank you..." she sounded out of breath "damn these things fly fast...."

"hm.... may i come inside to possibly study it? it might be that certain colors are capable of some things and only those things...."

"oh.... well, something i noticed from chasing this little one, is that it was faster than any other spiderfly i've seen yet...."

"maybe that one can't fly....." she looked at the red one

"alright...." she sighed..... the red one wasn't on the cotton ball anymore.... it was gone

"hey!" hera's voice could be heard from the closed window..... a small red light could be seen skittering around

it was skittering around really fast

it skidded to a halt, jumping up and down, fluttering it's tiny wings

it ran in circles in his hands

it chittered happily

Hera knocked on the window and the red spiderfly rested on the counter

"thank you..... Spiderflies eat a special fruit" she reached into her pocket and pulled out a glowing berry "here.... if you wanna feed the little one"

she handed him the berry "theres a small area in the forest that these little buggers pretty much reside in.... there are bushes of these berries"

"mhm" she nodded then got out another one to feed to the purple one in her hand. the purple spiderfly ate the little berry happily, soon falling asleep from being so wore out

it hopped up and munched on the berry happily, still full of energy

it finished the berry and jumped up a bit

it chittered a bit, happy

they kept fluttering around, but in a certain direction that made it seem like they were leading him

they fly faster toward a way larger group of them.... it was very bright and there was a woman standing in the middle of the little bugs

the woman looks behind herself and looks at him..... calm and harmless by just looks alone

she walks up to him "hey..." her voice was soft "you alright?"

"you sure? it looked like it hurt"

"hm.... come with me...." she smiled softly

"i'll patch you up and help your injuries heal better"

she lead him to a cabin.... she was also holding one of the little light bugs from earlier

"c'mon in" she opened the door to the cabin for him

it was a cozy area..... the woman walked to a desk with the bug in hand and she grabbed something

it can be anything ^^

"oh..... i live in the forest"

"ah... ok" she smiled "Hera, pleased to meet'cha"
