After the death of there parents, max hanged themselves because they felt Mourn. Ruby griefed all her family at the grave, soon to be possessed by a lost soul named Rosemary [or Greif] I thought it would be cool that the feelings of grief and metaphors are potrayed as charecters

The ending scene, death is our only release, is important The only way for ruby and maxs soul to be free is to die But the lost souls are immortal. Thats why they constantly try to kill thereslevs

The creepy stuff is not there fault

The lost souls try to help them

Because they experienced the same greif

So all of them are sad

The souls try to break the fourth wall constantly
