His name is yeti I got him around December I love him very much

I’ve dwelled on owning pet rats, but I like gerbils and hamsters along with mice a lot more It’s just the type of care that is different Usually with mice, gerbils and hamsters your care is more about there enclosure or cage rather then with rats where it’s about enrichment and socialization and training Mice and rats get confused a lot but I can tell them apart from nerding abt them so long Yeti as a mouse is a lot different from how I would care for him if he was a rat He’s less on human bonding then about climbing burrowing and running on his wheel That I replaced cus he broke the other one 😭

Same sometimes I ponder about getting a hamster instead of yeti He doesn’t love being out of his enclosure but he gives me routine and something to look forward to and love When yeti passes I’m thinking about getting a rabbit which is morbid to say outloud but mice have short lives I knew that when buying him For like 6 dollars because he was a feeder rat that was for snakes I also HATE I can’t pet fish OMG I think if you want something you can love you should totes get a rat- well rather rats It’s agreed that keeping a single rat is cruel even if you socialize with it a lot in the rodent community ( male mice fight which is why I bought yeti alone )
