I can't figure out their patterns, color palette, hell, even gender. (But that doesn't matter, I just wanted to spice up my characters and just "hey they androgynous ig" but characters don't revolve around stupid ****ing genders and sexuality)

bro,, i love your personality. u don't have to change yourself to make others happy, be you, because that's whats most important in life. ilynh man and idk if you consider me a friend but i've kinda always considered you a friend. also i really love your characters, take your time and don't rush yourself. take breaks if you need to because it can get pretty stressful at times i know,,,

growing up with heavy problems can lead to feeling lost and not knowing who you are. you just have to trust yourself to be able to create a new healthy self as you go. its not a quick progress, and can be painful and confusing, but dont worry about figuring out where you all went. youre still there, you just need time to be comfortable enough to find yourself again

and I think i can kinda relate to what you feel, but dont worry about it. youre adaptive, not a leech. you can learn to use that in a healthy way. Im sure talking to a good professional is the best thing you can do, and Im sure you'll be able to recognize your own improvement at some point.
